This product does work but I have yet to get a completely full tank. I've attempted several tricks with no success for a full tank. BUT it will refill your bottle half way.

    • Save purchasing small tanks
I'm tired of wasting money purchasing the 1 lb tanks and then throwing them out. The valve works well. You need to make sure you turn the large 20 lb tank upside down or the liquid won't transfer. I didn't freeze the 1 lb tanks as some suggested and needed to make about three attempt to get it to 1 lb (I checked with a scale). Overall, good value for the money. ... show more

Works as advertised If the empty container is chilled in the freezer first. Trying it at room or outdoor temperature (85+ degrees) resulted in no propane entering the 1Lb tab. It's good to weigh it when done to assure you don't overfill, but I am just comparing my recharged tank with a factory filled tank by lifting each one individually. ... show more

I bought this to fill my 1 lb tanks from my 20 lb tank. I close the valve on the big tank, but when I screw this in, propane blows from the tank until I remove this device, even though I haven't reopened the tank valve yet. I have two 20-lb tanks, and I tried it with both, and both times the propane blew from the tank. I'm glad I was outside, because that much propane smelled awful! I assume I'm doing something wrong, but I've watched three different youtube videos and don't see anything I'm doing differently. If someone can guide me, or if I can figure it out myself, I assume I'll be changing this to 5 stars. ... show more

I purchased two units. One for the camper one for the cabin. We camp and cook outdoors a bunch. I never could get them to seal up tight enough where they wouldn't drip actual liquid propane out. So I made the mistake of trying to tighten it with channel locks. The plastic piece was obviously cold and broke. I kept the second unit even though it wouldn't seat up tight enough not to leak.
