I have a dual-fuel 13kW generator that can operate on gasoline or propane, and I want to always have fuel on hand to run it in case of an emergency. I'm not interested in storing gasoline long-term, but propane is very easy to store. I've picked up a couple of these propane tanks and I have them filled at Tractor Supply, and then I store them outside on the porch. They're solidly made with good, tight valves that come with a dust cover for protection when not in use. They can be a little awkward to lift or move around when they're full if you're not accustomed to that, but i have a couple of them so I'm used to it. With a tank this size, my generator can run most all day at half load. I'll probably pick up a couple more of these. ... show more

The tank arrived in good shape... I am curious, is it normal for the tank to not have any labelling? IE, there is nothing on the tank that alludes to it being a Flame king tank. This bothers me a little as this could be a Non-Flame King tank and how would you know? It came with an inspection sticker on the handle that states purged and ready for filing and a sticker that states it has overfill protection. That's it folks... Confused here... ... show more

I bought two of these 40 pound tanks after my local Supplier told me It was going to be $380.00 to fill my 100 pound tanks. These 40 pounders are easy to handle and load in the truck and refill local for $35.00. I made a stand and cover and they work well. I will have to make several trips through out the season to keep them filled but they travel well. ... show more
