  • Awesome!!
Set name: 16L-Black
It arrived to banged up but that is no fault of the manufacturer and it functions just fine, dents and all. I absolutely love it! We have a 100 gallon tub and I wasn't sure if this heater would be strong enough to keep things hot enough but it's more than efficient. The shower feature is very handy and the hose is a good length to be able to rinse hair or wash body with the water heater a couple feet from the tub. It heats up fast! Flow is strong and good though I don't know if that has more to do with our water pressure or the water heater itself. Highly recommended! There's absolutely nothing like having a bath outside under the trees while watching the sunset. ... show more

  • Oh yes! Instant hot water!
Set name: 6L-Blue
This was exactly what we needed. We made an outdoor shower while we turned a tiny house shed into an actually tiny home. We used it exactly how it came. Super easy to use, the water pressure was great. We hammered two strong metal hooks to hang it on on the outside of the tiny cabin and left it out in the rain and everything and it never failed to work. Heats completely in seconds and the portable propane tank used with this lasts forever. It was 40 degrees outside and I had the water burning hot and didn’t want to get out. This was perfect and affordable. The blue is just as it is in the picture. ... show more

  • It does what it's supposed to. Superior water heating!
Set name: 6L-Red
I haven't used this one yet but had a blue one a few years ago that used almost daily for over 2 years and it worked perfectly til the day I sold it. Again haven't used this one but I imagine it will work just as good as the blue one i had. Great product. Easy to use! No leaks. Good parts quality. Precise temperature control. Could easily and effectively dual it up or down. Usually 111 was my regular temp but can reach up to 157 degrees in my experience. And can adjust effectively anywhere in between. Definitely worth the cost! I used this in place of using my hot water heater for showers and such and save me sooooo much money! I don't understand why this style isn't more normalized I the states except for that it saves people a lot of money annually. ... show more

  • WORST customer service and faulty product!
Set name: 6L-Red
I purchased this unit in April, then used it about 2-4x/mo for the next 5 months and it worked great. Loved it. And just like that, the temp wouldn't go above 95. Next time I tried to use the unit, the ignition failed. I replaced batteries per instruction manual, it worked to ignite but temperature never got over 101. Next time I attempted to use it, no ignition. Bought another set of batteries and replaced. Finally, it ignited but temp is still at 101 and won't go higher. Despite several calls to Gasland, I've never been able to reach a live body. Multiple messages left, no response. Yes, I was polite when I left messages! Also attempted to contact via chat on their website at Gaslandchef.com, and again, no response whatsoever. I also had difficulty when I ordered the unit from Amazon. There was a HUGE delay in shipping the unit to begin with. BUYER BEWARE with this company. And it's still under manufacturer warranty and I bought an extended warranty through Amazon, which doesn't do a bit of good if you can't reach the company! Massive fail, gasland. I will never purchase any of your products again. UPDATE: After the company (Gasland) saw this review, I was contacted immediately! They sent a replacement propane line with regulator, and a replacement water line/shower head. This did not resolve the problem. I still can't get a temp above 95 degrees. I also had to ask which shipping method they were using to send the parts; no confirmation email with tracking numbers were sent until I asked for them. I was told UPS for one but the sent the other view USPS. Confusing business practices to say the least. The tech I talked to was not very helpful and made it seem like the issues were all my fault. Note: the water line and shower head are made of cheap plastic! I am now asking for a complete replacement unit, as this is still under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty, in addition to the extended warranty I purchased through Amazon. UPDATE #2: Gasland finally sent me a replacement unit, which arrived with a damaged box and evidence that this was a "reshipped" item. Once opened, the inner box that contains tools and fittings was opened, there was a hole in that box as well, and the fittings/tools were loose in the main box. After setting this "replacement" unit up, it still won't go above 100 degrees with water at lowest setting (basically just a trickle and not a usable shower stream) and propane set on high. I contacted the company by phone and was told to send original invoice, extended warranty info, as well as photos from the damaged box! I guess they don't care that this replacement unit didn't work as it should either. If there were "Amazon Police" I'd send them after this company. Don't bother with this product or anything else made by Gasland. ... show more

  • Works great but you have to tune it for different flow rates.
Set name: 6L-Red
I have been using tankless water heaters for some time and I really like this one because it has been very reliable, but it has some issues. Installation is a breeze, 1/2" braided hoses work great for install, there have been no leaks and the unit works reliably every time. Problem is flow rate. I tuned the temp of the unit to the shower and it works fine and delivers great temp, however my sink flows more hot water. When I turn my sink on a little the unit will not fire up and deliver cold water, turn it on full blast and the water is lukewarm. I have found that the heater will deliver various water temperatures based on flow rates of water fixtures. The only to fix this is make sure all your appliances have matching hot water flow rates which is not very practical. ... show more

  • Looking to Buy, YOU MUST read this
Set name: 6L-Silver
Let me just start with this. I'm an ordinary guy who needed a good product and bought this through extensive research using reviews, web searches and price points. I am NOT a Vine reviewer or a paid BOT commenter Bottom line, Gasland is a stand up company who cares about their customers, their products and have knowledgeable people on staff that are ready to help. I have had my unit since Aug 24. If your searching for one, the number of companies pumping these out (and you can tell which are re-branded or not), I get it, It makes it 'brain hurting' confusing. Lets be real, overseas made products are not getting the 5 star treatment in quality and longevity of use. We search out the unit that settles in that middle ground in both price and star rating and take a chance. One deciding factor for me was review stars (by ordinary people, not Vine customers), secondly price and replacement part availability, the rest the unit had to speak for itself. The product: This heater was installed on an outdoor kitchen/cabin we built. I needed a gas operated small heater for our sink and outdoor shower. I needed weather durability in both the heat and cold freeze as it was to be mounted outside. Look, Everything requires some maintenance and follow up to prep the unit for each season, nothing is a "set it and go". I did these things. I run it from an outdoor water spigot from my well which pushes 50psi. The unit provided consistent heat (125 deg F) most of the time. When it didn't, I had to fine tune it with the knobs every now and again and we were up and going. Not a big deal. Even during the extreme cold above freezing, it provided great hot water. The amount of water use (hard showers and dish washing), I never went without hot water from the hose pressure. The capacity of heat was above and beyond. I have also used a 45 psi solar/battery 12v diaphragm pump and it worked great. The Company: First of all, Anyone who complains about the unit not working or is junk, didn't do their homework. It comes with a 1 yr warranty through Gasland. If you have an issue, reach out to them. All you have to do is just ask. Not all situations will work out like mine but I had issues with the unit maintaining constant heat, they helped me with a solution, Gas was shutting off prematurely after it lit up, they help me with a solution. Just recently, we had a cold freeze. I winterized the unit, and for whatever reason, the water pressure valve housing cracked, dumping water everywhere when I put water after back through it. I removed the cover, inspected it, took out the bad unit and took some photos. If you have any mechanical skills, was very easy. I sent photos of the unit, the actual damage and the part itself, my serial number, and explained to them what I had done. After a few questions from them, they were gracious enough to provide me a replacement part covered under the warranty, shipped right to my doorstep in days. This is important: The warranty was for a year....This is November....3 months past a year....I was simply blown away they still wanted to help. I work in a customer service oriented company....They are a model company when it comes to customer service. For the mechanical Do-it-yourselfer - They provide reasonably priced replacement parts to fix this if you ever need to. Most manufactures don't offer this. Sorry, this was long but I hope helps the next person who decides to purchase one. Communicate with respect and understanding, they will respond in kind. Give detailed information and importantly photos and videos when they request it. I always emailed them and always got a timely response. Give them your business. You wont be dissatisfied. They will earn it by all means possible. ... show more

  • It is perfect.
If you are up in the air about purchasing this heater, don't be. It does what it says and it does it well. I use the heater alongside of my hot tub almost daily. I use it to rinse before getting in and after. I also use it to top off the hot tub. I love using my hot tub and this baby has helped tremendously in making it such an enjoyable daily routine. Even on cold days i will top off while in the tub taking the temp up to extra hot. I have had it for 2 years now and am writing this review from the tub as it heats water on demand. In 2 years daily I have used maybe 5 tanks of propane and that's with quick rinses and a lot of top off taking Minutes at times. So the gas use I would say is very minimal depending on use of course. The heater itself does get hot the longer you run it. Not an issue but I have it up on a metal railing so be aware of that. It can run in really low pressure but again here at home I have superb pressure so at first used a regulator for fear of over pressure but have since removed the regulator and have not had an issue. I have used 2 pairs of d batteries in 2 years. I had a cover for it the first year but since it is under canopy don't use that anymore either. Rain does hit it but not directly not sure what that would do if anything, As the unit is flame powered it does work in wind but again it is flame powered go gust can blow it out rarely. All in all its a great buy. Last but not least if it ever gives you trouble firing up troubleshooting has gotten it everytime for me from dead batteries to ultra low water pressure, and if it's ever really being a b and not firing give it a wack or two, it can take it. Weather it helps or not who can say. It has turned on once or twice after the power of persuasion. When I buy another soon for a different project It will be this kind. ... show more
