  • Very Good Winter Pants
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Black
I wore these during a two hour ice climbing event and they kept me warm and held up well. The weather was blustery with temps at -5F with the windchill. The pants really seemed to keep the wind out and were very flexible during the hike to the ice wall and while climbing. They seem durable and are very comfortable to wear. The front pockets are deep and the zippers on all the pockets work effortlessly. I'm 5'11'/160lbs with an athletic build and 32"x32" fit perfectly. But I didn't have much room underneath for layering which I really didn't need to do anyway. I like that waist band is elastic and also has belt loops. The fastening button was sewn on well. These are really outstanding pants! I bought black and would like to buy another pair in a different color but other than gray, which I really don't want, the color selection is just plain ugly. Wish the pants were offered in better color choices. If you're on the fence, just buy these! ... show more

  • Probably the nicest winter pants I've owned.
Size: 30W x 30L Color: Black
Package arrived quickly. I'm a woman, but retired now. I had worked over 20 years doing construction in all the nastiest weather you can imagine. Never wore overalls because they just don't fit right and too hard to go to the bathroom. I now own a farm, so still outside working in all weather, and kneeling always gets my pants wet. These are a game changer! Size was good. Elastic on sides let's you move around without pinching. Soft on the inside, and keeps the wind from blowing through. So in my opinion less layers to wear, keeping you comfortable. My husband tried mine on, even though they were snug on him he thought they were wonderful so I ordered him a pair in the right size so I can get mine back. Will definitely be ordering more of them. My new favorite work pants! ... show more

  • Warm and dry in iceland
Size: 40W x 30L Color: Grey
Just got back from a trip to Iceland and these worked great. We did some hiking and pond skiing and these kept me warm and dry. Depending on how cold natured you are you can wear underlayment with these and be extra warm. To be honest I did at first then I just went with just these on and still was warm and dry. The only complaint is i have a big but and if you don't wear a belt with them you will get a cold breeze at your waist area. Still ... show more

  • You get what you don’t pay for
Size: 38W x 34L Color: Black
Out of the box- I have a 37 waist so i bought a 38w - The waistband has around 4 inches of pull. They have a elastic waistband on the sides and the front. I wore a belt, but it seemed every time I would squat I felt the waist drop down near my rear cleft, Eventually, once the newness of the fleece liner wore in it stopped doing it, but the solution was to buy a 36W. They were tighter on my thighs, and stayed on my waist when I squatted. Buy your waist size, and if you have to, buy smaller not bigger. In regard to length, I think they are slightly shorter. For instance if you are a 34L they will feel like a 33 1/2L. I’m also very hard on my pants as I am in construction and will do a follow up on how much wear and tear they can handle. Follow up: My first day on the job, it was 50° and I normally wear thermal underpants, but did not with these fleece lining and they were not too hot and during the coldest part of the day noticed it was similar to wearing thermals. at one point they did get hot and I just unzipped the lower leg and that brought in enough air to cool it down. They are warm, but not too warm. I’m saying it’s worth it overall, “dollar value for dollar spent.” Follow up no tears on the material no seams coming undone. Dust, dirt, and mud seemed to go away with the brush of hand. I wish it had a side leg pocket to hold my iphone but the all the pockets have zippers with tethers tied to them, which make it easy to open and close, and the zippers slide easy. ... show more

  • Excellent outdoor pants!!!
Size: 30W x 32L Color: Black
I bought these for my son in high school and he loves them! They've already been on several outdoor excursions, including some fishing trips, and he attests to their warmth and waterproofing. He also said they're very comfortable for all-day wear. Admittedly, I was skeptical before my purchase since I usually stick to name brands when it comes to my outdoor gear. I'm glad I took a chance on these pants though! A great value so far, and most importantly, true to its advertised features! ... show more

  • Really warm
Size: 30W x 32L Color: Black
I bought these to use in the rain and have not been able to see how well they do in the rain so based on how well they do in the rain I might come back and change my review. However, when I tried them on they are very warm which I think will help in the cold weather. Also the fit is pretty nice. I purchased the 30x32 size and I am 5'6 and 145 Pounds. ... show more

  • More than we expected
Size: 36W x 30L Color: Black
My husband needed a pants to work in the snow storm. So we got it overnight deliver. We got and he tested in the snow storm and he was very impressed because after 11 years cleaning snow it was the first he didn’t fell cold while cleaning snow. So it’s perfect and probably we will order a extra one. And the size fit really well ... show more

  • Absolutely not ski pants; skinny jean design
Size: 42W x 30L Color: Grey
Update (upgrading to 3 stars): I decided to keep them for winter hiking and similar activities. I’ve now worn them three times in temperatures ranging from -7°F to 42°F and I’m pretty pleased. I found them to be very warm with an appropriate base layer and was surprised to see that they hold up pretty well to a fairly stiff wind. I haven’t pushed their water proofing beyond kneeling in the snow several times to adjust my ice spikes while hiking, but the added layer on the knees seems to have worked-they didn’t get wet and my knee didn’t get disproportionately cold. Now to see how they hold up to time and use... Original (2 stars): The waist and length fit pretty true to size, however the design and leg fit is that of skinny jeans: the lower leg can’t even come close to fitting around ski boots. Since they’re being advertised as ski pants, I’m rating them a 2 since they completely miss the mark for their advertised function. That said, if they prove to be warm and waterproof, I may elect to keep them for other winter activities which don’t require the leg width skiing does. ... show more
