Well made with cast iron and stainless steel, I felt real good about assembling this bad boy. It’s bigger than I was ready for but good thing I bought my vegetable oil in bulk. I wanna say minimum oil requirement is just under a gallon to get about an inch and a half maybe 2 inches of oil. It was perfect for deep fried pickles, calamari, and chicken wings. I made 8 wings in each basket and could have easily added more if I had more oil. Very easy to keep a consistent temp, I was able to adjust the flame in 25 degree weather with ease. I felt safe lighting the flame, I’m not worried about any leaks in the hose or anything like that. When your grandpa says “just gimme one of those cheap American made ones that last a lifetime” this is what he’s referring to. I expect to own this until I inevitably do something I wasn’t supposed to and it breaks lol. I’m going to recommend the smaller one to my family and friends, but I can’t say enough nice things about this unit. ... show more

Great product. It is very well made. Really nice when frying a large amount of fish or frying two different things at once. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star review is because one of the bolts on the burner element was stripped out when it arrived.

Great Fryer! We used this fryer to cook fish for our reunion, and it worked perfectly—no issues at all. Before using it, we filled the pan with water and turned the burner on to burn off the new smell, which worked great. The fryer heated evenly and did an excellent job.
