  • Realized it is not for me, definitely not a product for everybody
Style: Venu 2s Color: Light Gold Bezel with Tan Case and Silic...
I used this watch for a week and decided it just is not for me and I am returning it. I am trying to lose weight and wanted a fitness watch to help with motivation, fitness tracking and just generally getting more info about my body and how much activity I get. I feel like I was not getting very accurate readings for calories burned and I think it is probably due to my heart rate and the type of work I do (I have a moderately active job where I walk constantly and do things like moving furniture and heavy boxes). Out of the 7 days, the watch said on 4 of these days I burned over 3500 calories total (with one day showing I had 2243 active calories). On two of these days I was more active than normal at my job but on the other two, I really was just walking around at a moderate pace all night with occasional rushing. Nothing crazy at all that would point to burning 1500+ active calories. There was one morning where in the morning, it told me I had already burned 104 active calories (meaning from activity rather than just what we burn naturally by being alive) when literally all I had done since waking up was get up and stand in the shower for 30 minutes. Maybe my heart rate while walking and doing light activity is too high for this function to be useful or maybe it is doesn't mesh well with sporadic lifting and random workplace activity, idk. I was interested in other features like the heart rate tracking, cycle tracking and sleep info, but the calorie information was one of the main things I wanted out of the watch and the other things alone are not really enough to wow me and make me feel like it is worth the steep price. I think I prefer just using my phones step tracking app which also gives a calorie count for steps alone at least. I think that is maybe more useful to me anyways and trying this watch just made me reprioritize. I think I get quite a bit of activity outside of the gym and focusing on diet details rather than exercise details will work out better in the end. I will not be purchasing any other fitness watches after this. All this being said, I am still rating it 4 stars! Seems like a great product that would be goof for the right customer. Perhaps if you are either a serious athlete or if you are trying to improve your health/fitness and have low daily activity/a sedentary job. I love the size and look of the watch, the screen is beautiful and the watch face options were nice. It was comfortable to wear too. One reason I went with this choice over other fitness/smart watches was the battery life and they really blew it out of the park. The watch used like 9% battery for a full 24 hours. If you want to try a fitness watch or if you already like using them and are in the market for a new one, I bet this is a really great choice! ... show more

  • I love this watch!
Style: Venu 2s Color: Light Gold Bezel with Tan Case and Silic...
I’ve been a devoted Apple Watch wearer for several years. I decided to make the switch for a more attractive round face and longer battery life, so glad I did! I’ve have the venu s2 for about three weeks. I’ve only charged it two times. Charging takes less than one hour, display is beautiful, exercise programs right on the watch, and super user friendly. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • So far… I’m in love!!!
Style: Venu 2s Color: Light Gold Bezel with Tan Case and Silic...
I bought this watch as a replacement for a different brand that wasn’t tracking my workouts accurately. I just got my Venu today and so far I think it’s awesome. I attached two photos. The one shows an 1hr long workout stating my average hr was 119 (old watch) the other is the new watch doing a HITT workout for 35mins. Notice no dips, plateaus etc. my last watch (consistently) seemed that it capped out at around 176. Once it got that high it would drop to resting or stop working all together. So far I haven’t noticed any issue with the hr tracker it stayed steady the entire workout and I never questioned “hmm is that really what it is?” There’s a ton of watch faces to choose from.. like a lot. It took me about an hour to find one I wanted. I’ve only had the watch for a day but so far I love it! ... show more

  • Buy the black one not the champagne or white color!
Style: Venu 2s Color: Light Gold Bezel with Tan Case and Silic...
LOVE the Garmin Venu 2S! It needs a fraction of the charging that the Apple iwatch requires and the App is very easy to use. Buy the BLACK not the champagne color. Unlike the Apple iwatch, the side is plastic and looks VERY plastic (cheep) in lighter colors. I thought the lighter color would look less clunky but the face is black most of the time and if you want a leather band, you will need to get a light colored one so as not to emphasize the cheep look of light colored plastic. It is which is difficult to find matching light leather and it gets dirty VERY quickly. Ive had this watch for 6+ months and love it BUT cant wait to get a black case or upgrade to a metal watch case. ... show more

  • Pretty and functional but so-so
Style: Venu 2s Color: Light Gold Bezel with Tan Case and Silic...
Love the watch overall! Unfortunately came with a scratch on the glass in the box but I had already taken it out and synced it to my phone before I noticed. I’m going to contact Amazon and Garmin about it since it’s sort of annoying to pay so much for a watch and have it be aesthetically damaged from the beginning. It says return unused so not sure how that will work out. I’ve wanted to upgrade from my Charge 3 (Fitbit) for a while now because it still tracked accurately but the screen had went black and I wanted to see heart rate/clock, etc. Garmin has great reviews and I wanted more stats without having to pay for a premium Fitbit subscription monthly. First off, the step count is less than half of what my Fitbit is recording daily (wearing it on my other wrist to compare). Not sure which is more accurate. I’ve heard Fitbit overestimates steps, but I’ve never used a pedometer to check. Surprisingly the sleep amount/times is pretty much the same, although it has very different measurements for REM, deep sleep, etc. compared to Fitbit. I knew when I made the purchase that Garmin’s sleep stats aren’t as in-depth as Fitbit’s but I do appreciate the pulse ox reading setting. Battery life also seems okay. First day playing with it and syncing it to get different apps/activities set up drained it, but I’ve worn it for a few days and it still says 4 days of battery left. I think it will take some getting used to, but I’m excited to wear it to the gym tomorrow and see how it tracks intense exercise. Having bought it on Amazon Prime Day I saved a lot of $$ on the watch so it’s worth it, but for the original $400 I may have considered returning it. ... show more
