This watch has the longest battery life I have every seen on a smart watch. I don't activate al the functions but it does a great job of tracking the things I am interested in. Can get up to 40 days of battery life depending on how I customize it. Love this watch, and it was worth every penny. It's been through hell and back the last year as a laborer on a job site. From being covered in dust, concrete, water, and every other element. It's beat to all hell, but everything still works as it did day 1. I usually have my lunch box in the work truck which is usually close by. The phone connection still works at a rather far distance. It's nice being able to see my messages and notifications without having to carry my phone on me. It's so nice not having to worry about charging it all the time. Once every couple weeks I will top it off out of habit, but even then it's not actually out of juice. The battery life is so good that the Solar Capabilities are a bit redundant, but it definitely doesn't hurt! Every once in a while I'll clean it with a toothbrush and some dish soap, but otherwise I just leave it covered in crud. Do note, that I have had a glass screen protector on it since I took it out of package so I can't attest on how scratch resistant the OEM screen is. Well worth getting a protector either way for how cheap they are. I plan on purchasing another one for outside of work use that I can keep clean. ... show more

I use this watch everyday for work, running, walking etc.. Works perfect for phone notifications, tracking steps, miles, HR. The battery lasts on average 2 weeks without needing charged even with everyday GPS tracking activities. It's tough, rugged and works for my outside job. Just shy of 1 year my Garmin watch battery came loose-it shouldn’t do that. The seller said I had to claim my 1 year warranty through Garmin directly. I called and the entire process was simple.     • Needs a tougher band
I love this watch/gps/health monitor. Yes, it does many things, and that's what I love about it. Since it arrived, I almost never take it off. I use the health features (along with Garmin Connect) the most but I love being able to double-check my directions and location as well. And did I mention it tells the time too? The one thing I wish for this is that it had a tougher band. One instance of my cat trying to catch it on my wrist when I first put it on and it was permanently damaged. I superglued it so I could still wear it but I hate that one day in and I had to order a new band for it. ... show more

Good watch. Works as it should. Screen is a little bit small for my old eyes to read. Heart rate monitor is pretty accurate, but can go off on a tangent from time to time. The garmin portal interface is pretty good aslo.

    • Plenty of ways to make it better, and it’s pretty damn good now.
Great watch. Bought if for solar charging capabilities, and backup GPS. It’s technology is antiquated. Does not feature wireless charging. Does not have a magnetic charging connector. Battery is half the size it could be. Screens are black and white like my first Casio in the 80’s. Step count works great. GPS is very accurate. Interfaces with my other antiquated device the Garmin Inreach. Battery does last longer than most of its competitor’s but could be even longer. Face could be bigger for increased solar collection. Very lightweight but could still be lightweight with double or triple battery size. Charging is very slow with the included cable. And of course it’s a proprietary cable. I may sound like I don’t like the watch but it’s great and could be freaking fantastic if the tech guys were unleashed to use wireless charging, bigger solar collector, bigger battery, and decrease charging time. ... show more
