Description

Easily attach your compatible 4-, 8- or 12-pin transducer to the transom of your boat with this mount that provides excellent sonar returns at all speeds. Since the transducer is in the water at all times, the mount does not protect the transducer from underwater obstructions and some drag on the boat will occur. The included transducer spray shield reduces excessive water spray from your compatible transducer when your boat is running at high speeds. You also can mount the transducer to the step of your boat with this mount to allow angle adjustment of the transducer so it is parallel with the water surface; this will create no drag on the boat. And since the transducer is out of the water with this mounting style, sonar will not track bottom when the boat is on plane.

  • VAST IMPROVEMENT OVER PLASTIC TRANSDUCER MOUNT - SOLID AS A ROCK!
The stainless steel structure of this, rigidity, and adjustability of the transducer angle is VASTLY superior to the junk plastic mount sent with my $1200 Echomap. Why Garmin doesn't include these with the higher end units by default, is beyond me. The plastic mount that came with the fish finder was so floppy that it actually caused the transducer to oscillate up and down while trolling at 4mph... an annoyance beyond belief after spending $1200 on the fishfinder. The metal unit is ROCK solid, sturdy, and infinitely more adjustable, so I give it a happy five star rating. I give Garmin a 2 star rating for sending me the original plastic mount that was a hunk of junk. ... show more

  • Does what it was expected
I bought this for to replace the plastic transducer mount which I thought would not hold up over time. THe SS mount was nice and sturdy but I replaced the 2 nuts and bolts with 1 shoulder bolt and a nut on the inside of the frame and a nut on the outside of the frame for a sturdy hold and easier adjustment if needed. I didnt think that this splash guard would really work on the new style of transducers considering that I had mine set to skim perfectly in the water but I was getting poor readings and a lot of rooster tails and vertical splashing. So I installed the splash guard and lowered the transducer and I have never seen such a smooth glide of a transducer in the water being set so low and I have no roosster tails and no vertical splash. My reading are solid and I am confident that the stainless steel mount will hold for many years to come. And the price was right, so I am happy. ... show more

  • Sturdy transducer bracket!
Much better than the standard plastic mount! Durable and sturdy. Don’t hesitate to pay a little extra to upgrade if this is going on a boat

  • Garmin does it again
Been buying Garnin products since the first GPS were available to the public. Garmin never let's me down. I know it is just a bracket but it holds my $300 transducer. I wouldn't trust a plastic mount on this transducer. You never know when you might strike something in the water and break a mount! --Could ruin a good day fishing and leave you looking for a new transducer. This thing is built solid, strong and fit like a charm. No issues mounting, and easy bolt on attachment. Came with all hardware needed, all nice stainless steel bracket and hardware. Super easy install! ... show more

  • Sturdy and Effective
Solid stainless steel bracket for Garmin transducers. My old plastic bracket would sometimes fall off if I hit a log or some debris either cruising or hitting a log while in very shallow water. The screw heads holding it on actually wore larger gaps in the bracket slots when this occurred. This new steel bracket prevents all that from happening. The only con I noticed is there are no interlocking grooves in the bracket to keep it from coming out of adjustment if the nuts and bolts should become slightly loose. That should be an easy fix for Garmin. They should also offer wire shielding that goes over the the transducer wire that feeds into the transom to keep muskrats from chewing on the wire. I could not install my new transducer until I found an aftermarket shield. All transducer wires should have this protection, especially if the boat is kept in the water. ... show more

  • Super High Quality, But..
This replacement mount is extremely high quality. It fits perfectly, has no sharp edges and is honestly a work of art when it comes to material and fabrication. But...I do wish the it offered more in the way of tension adjustment for up and down movement. It is either very tight or really loose. It may work fine on the water and when hitting things but that remains to be seen. The only bad parts to this unit were the screws provides to secure the mount to the boat. The screws stripped almost immediately when trying to install it. Definitely worth the price. ... show more

  • If your afraid to beach your boat, then you don’t know how to live.
Great fix for my original garmin mount that busted because I like to beach my boat and the waves pushed it sideways. 1985 Boston Whaler Outrage 18’ with a 100hp 4stroke Yamaha. It’s painted blue and looks like it was used to hunt Jaws. It is nothing less then a North East River legend!
