  • Know where I am going
A little learning curve. Once you understand the buttons it is a snap to use. U Tube has many instrucnal vieteos to watch to better understand. I did not have to purchas any extra maps. what it comes with is perfict for my use in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on the boarder of Canada and Minnesota. ... show more

  • 64x
Awesome product from Garmin, battery life does suck 16 hours or less with the AA’s. Recently upgraded to the 66sr, if you have the money save it for the 66sr it beats them all hands down faster satellite acquisition than the 64x. Also 6ft accuracy, vs the 9ft of the 64x

  • Lacks Bluetooth Connectivity
Feature wise- a key limitation of the 64X is the lack of bluetooth support. This means you can't pair the device with your smart phone to use apps like Garmin Explore to navigate. And while this is not a newer model, Garmin devices that are much older have this capability. I cannot assess other aspects of performance- but if you have a capable smartphone the 64X will limit your ability to take advantage of your smart phone's screen while navigating. Tracks can also not be downloaded/synchronized via the Garmin Explore web site or Explore smartphone app. However, Garmin Basecamp can be used to upload GPX files to the device. ... show more

  • Nice gps inside of using your phone
Easy to get a signal with the satellite search. Haven't really used it yet but much better then the trek20. Wish it was loaded with the more detailed maps for the money

  • Generic GPS
Aren't we in the year 2021 with cutting edge technology?? Why is Garmin being generic about their GPS's? I researched all reviews and tips and settled on this one. Very disappointed all around. I knew the screen was small and I had to use buttons, since it's not a touchscreen, but I thought that's ok - It's got great features, etc. Nope, I was wrong. I can do more with my cell. My cell cost $100 and it can do laps around this so called GPS device. Having to pay extra for memory (download maps) and pay for online additional maps is a rip-off. It reminds me of the ol' Tiger (calculator) games you could get at the grocery store when you were a kid. I'll never buy another one again. BYE Garmin! ... show more
