I got this the Fusion SGDA82000 in my Yamaha jet boat, powering four 6.5" cabin speakers, another pair of 6.5s on my tower, and a bridged Bazooka sub—and it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it. Even with the twin engines roaring and wind blasting, this amp pushes out plenty of volume and keeps the sound clean. The amp itself is rock solid—marine-rated, rugged, and clearly built to last in a harsh environment. It delivers tons of clean power and gives me the headroom I need for high-volume cruising. A couple of minor gripes: There's no input mode switch, like a 2-channel or 4-channel input mode, where you can feed just one stereo RCA input, and the amp distributes that signal across all 8 channels (ideal for simple setups or head units with limited outputs). It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you're running a multi-zone boat system and want more flexible control over where your sound goes, you’ll need to handle that elsewhere (via DSP or head unit). So this amp would pair really well with a Fusion head unit that is made for that. Also, the speaker wire terminals are a bit finicky—they work fine, but they’re not the easiest to deal with when wiring multiple setups or reconfiguring. Price-wise, you could probably match the raw power with a cheaper amp, but Fusion brings marine-grade reliability and name recognition, which I hope pays off in long-term durability. I recently moved my sub to its own dedicated amp, which freed up this unit to grow the rest of my cabin/tower system—and that flexibility is a big plus. If you're looking for a tough, capable amp with clean sound and room to expand, this is a solid choice.
