  • fantastic, durable, sleek & practical!!
Color: Whitestone and Powder Gray
first of all, I have loved Garmin for a very very long time. I even gifted my boyfriend the Solar Instinct last year because I didn’t want him to get an apple watch, but Garmin instead 😆. this was a step up from my Garmin Forerunner 35 and WOW have I waited so long for this. to be honest I waited and waited to buy a new Garmin watch because I knew that whenever I did I would be simultaneously retiring my previous watch, and i wasn’t emotionally ready for that. but BOY does this watch make it easy to fall in love with. I can’t love it more. I like gym workouts, running, hiking, yoga and other stuff here and there like golf or stairstepping. this watch can track it all, hold a battery life for 2 weeks, tell me all the stats I want to see, give live notifications of calls and texts, connect to my calorie counting app (myfitnesspal), even detect and track my naps which it does very accurately. i’m so impressed and so happy I finally pulled the trigger on it. 10/10 very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • From Apple Watch to Garmin: 10000/10
Color: Whitestone and Powder Gray
The media could not be loaded. The Garmin Forerunner 965 is a GPS smartwatch that strikes an impressive balance between form and function. As a health-conscious, hybrid athlete, I originally chose the Venu 3 for its sleek style and everyday functionality. However, I ended up returning it as I found myself missing the advanced features that the Forerunner provides. This is one of the few watches that truly excels in both daily wear and elite-level training. Some of my favorite features include HRV Status, Stress and Sleep Scores, Training Readiness, and Recovery Time. Metrics that offer real-time insight into how your body is responding to training and recovery. Another standout feature I love as a woman is the full-color onboard maps with turn-by-turn navigation, which were once exclusive to Garmin’s high-end Fenix and Epix lines. Having that level of guidance right on your wrist is a game-changer for solo trail runs, hikes, and new routes. As someone who struggled to choose. I would recommend the Forerunner 965 over the Venu for people: • Serious runners, cyclists, and triathletes • Athletes who want advanced training metrics without the bulk of larger watches • Anyone who values a bright, beautiful display and 20+ days of battery life ... show more

  • Finally Made the Jump to Garmin - So Long Battery Anxiety!
Color: Whitestone and Powder Gray
I'd been struggling with my Pixel 3 watch on longer runs – it just couldn't hang in there past 17 miles, which was incredibly frustrating. I started looking for something with serious battery life but didn't want to feel like I was downgrading on cool features. The Forerunner 965 kept popping up, and I decided to give it a shot. Man, am I glad I did. I purchased the one with the white band, I think it looks very sleek and modern compared to the black one. Pros: Battery for Days (Well, Miles and Miles!): This is the biggest one for me. I can go on my long runs, and then some, without even thinking about the battery percentage. It's a huge relief not to have that anxiety anymore. I used to have to charge my pixel watch daily, I can go a full week without charging this watch! That Screen is Gorgeous: The AMOLED display is no joke. It's so bright and clear, even when I'm out in direct sunlight. Data is super easy to read at a glance, which is exactly what you need when you're trying to focus on your pace. Buttons I Actually Like Using: I didn't realize how much I'd appreciate good, tactile buttons until I had them. They're really responsive and make navigating menus or starting/stopping activities a breeze, especially with sweaty hands when a touchscreen can be finicky. Still Feels Smart: While it's definitely a running-focused watch, it still has a lot of the smart features I liked on my Pixel. I get my notifications, can control music, and it tracks all sorts of health metrics. Cons: Missing True Independence (No LTE): The only real drawback for me is the lack of LTE. I can't take calls or send texts if I don't have my phone with me. It's not a dealbreaker, as I'll wear my old Pixel watch with LTE on my other wrist to avoid me needing my bulky phone with me. Overall: Switching to the Forerunner 965 has been a game-changer for my running. The battery life alone makes it worth it, but the awesome screen and user-friendly buttons are fantastic bonuses. I finally get why so many runners swear by Garmin. If you're a runner who needs reliability and great performance without sacrificing too many smartwatch conveniences, I’d definitely recommend checking this one out. Edit: Added a screenshot of my first run with the watch. 10 miles and the battery only went down 3% throughout while listening to music. I made the right choice to switch! ... show more

  • Best running watch ever!
Color: Whitestone and Powder Gray
I bought the Garmin Forerunner® 965 as a gift for myself and I couldn't be happier with it. It has everything I need for my running and triathlon training, such as GPS, heart rate, VO2 max, recovery time, and more. It also syncs with my phone and Garmin Connect app, where I can see all my stats and achievements. The battery life is amazing, it lasts for weeks on a single charge. The design is sleek and comfortable, and the screen is easy to read even in bright sunlight. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about running or triathlon. Pros: - Accurate and reliable GPS and heart rate - Lots of features and metrics for running and triathlon - Long battery life - Sleek design and comfortable fit - Easy to use and sync with phone and app Cons: - A bit pricey, but worth it ... show more
