Only problem was pins on old band were frozen and wouldn't compress, I had to bend them the get band off. New pins worked as expected.

    • Good thing to keep expensive toy/tool working
I do triathlons, so my 310XT is indispensable to me. I'd have to buy a new one immediately if it ever broke. So, this replacement bad set being available is a great thing to keep my investment going when the clasp failed after a few years. The new bands are exactly like the original bands, except they are clean :-) The part of the band that has the clasp was extremely easy to put on. The other side, on the other hand, took me almost 20 minutes to get both sides of the pin in the holes and able to stay. This is the only reason this review is not 5 star. The replacement is a reasonable cost. It's original parts. And the new parts worked as well as the old. I couldn't ask for more than that, except for a little less frustration with one of the pins. It's just as good - and bad - as the original. Why on earth garmin won't come out with a cloth band that fits this watch, I don't understand. Other watches they make have them, why punish the owners of this watch with these uncomfortable plastic bands? Was surprised to see the "kit" arrive in a little tiny ziploc bag, rather than the ubiquitous, obnoxious, excessive clam shell that everything seems to be packaged in today. But not even a little cardboard thing with the name of the company and the product on it, just a ziploc bag. Minimalist, to be sure, and perfectly adequate. ... show more
