I bought this watch for my son to use during his first high school cross country season so that he could keep track of his mileage and pace on runs. The first couple of months the watch worked fine. Then the watch band worked loose on one side and would not stay attached. Not too big of a deal....I ordered a replacement band and fixed it. About midway through the season, my son would say that the watch wasn't recording the correct distance. I really thought it was user error until he switched watches with his sister (Garmin Forerunner 15 purchased new) and she had the same issues. Sometimes when my son went to upload the data off the watch, it would show that he had done a run at odd hours and crazy distances when the watch had been sitting on a table untouched. Now, the watch does not hold a charge. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this watch refurbished....spend the extra money and buy it new! ... show more

  • It seems like the battery should last longer than that
Jury is still out on the final verdict. The battery is only lasting for about 2 workouts. A workout for me is running 7 or 8 miles at a 9 or 10 minute mile pace. It seems like the battery should last longer than that. This is a good watch for knowing how far you are running, your pace, and reviewing where you actually ran/biked/whatever. It's a good value. I like the virtual assistant as it keeps me on pace. At the end of the day, this watch is almost obsolete with all the other devices available, but for $60 it gets the job done. ... show more

  • Great, low-cost GPS watch
THE GOOD: Does everything you'd want from a GPS watch. I had an old Garmin that was clunky and odd shaped, but this is more like a real watch (albeit a bit thicker). It's easy to use and it's easy to upload your data to the Garmin web site to track your activities. You can also download your activity in a GPX or TCX format so you can upload it to other sites like Runkeeper, which I have used for years. The Garmin site is very similar and I may switch to it eventually, but old habits are hard to break (plus I have 6 years of data on Runkeeper). THE BAD: A little slow to acquire GPS...maybe 30 seconds to a minute. Runkeeper on my Android phone acquires them instantly. ... show more

I use this watch when I am walking and running. It is great quality. It has lasted during all kinds of weather and many running journeys. I like that you can set it for walks or runs so it fits everyone's needs. I like that it tracks your runs and walks and you can plug it into your tablet or phone to track it in the long term. It has helped me meet some of my goals. A good quality product for the money. I wold recommend this product and company to others, I will be buying more. ... show more

  • I'm happy to say that it's been working perfectly for me
I wanted to test this watch out for couple weeks because it was a refurbished unit. I'm happy to say that it's been working perfectly for me. The charge holds well and it seems pretty accurate to me when I compare my run distance to Google maps. My unit syncs with the Garmin app on my computer without any problems. A few times it has taken a bit longer than I like for it to find GPS signal before I go running, but it's not a deal breaker. The GPS signal has never disconnected while running. I would recommend a refurbished unit if you're looking to save money! ... show more

  • GPS does not quite work
Very disappointed. Bought this for my boyfriend (we run, I have the Garmin vivosmart) and he had to stop using it due to frustration. Even when in an open field outside it takes over 10 minutes to try to get the GPS to work. When it says it's on he feels the pace is incorrect as well. Wish we could return it, but we kept trying to see if it would improve. No luck sadly, now it just gets stuck trying to find signal. Have reset it several times ... show more

  • Great starter running watch.
I bought this for my 15 year old son to use for his cross country season. Since he is 15 and loses everything, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a running watch, but this was the year he really seemed to want to work to improve his time. This watch seems to find a signal pretty quickly, and is easy to use. When using as a watch without the GPS function, it can go about a week without a charge. We received the watch, as well as the charger with our purchase, and everything seems to work as if it was new. ... show more

  • Does what it needs to do, and great battery life. :)
Great tool for long runs. Let's me know how long I've been running and how far, avg. mile, keeps track of my 1 mile splits to keep me on target. Does exactly what I need it to do and is much better than trying to do the same with an app through a phone that is stuck to your arm. I've run 4 hours and 40 mins with this and the battery didn't even start to blink that it was getting low. So, the battery life on this is great too...just make sure it's fully charged before you leave. I made the mistake of thinking I could just waltz out the door without having it fully charged since my previous run wasn't that long, but I didn't take into consideration the fact that the battery is still running when it sits on the shelf, just keeping time. So, I had to cut my run short. Otherwise, this thing goes and goes. :) ... show more
