  • Superb build quality and excellent battery life.
Next level of fitness tracker. Superb battery life. I preferred the screen of sapphire over the solar for durability and clarity. I held off from buying this watch due to the cost. Mainly because I will buy my wife anything I deem worthy of buying twice, she got the 6S version and the venu 2. Yes she uses/likes both very much. I like how the heart rate monitor on the watch connects to the concept 2 rower. Activities menu are a few button presses for working out. The sleep tracking improved after software update. ... show more

  • Great smart watch for those who exercise
This watch is perfect for those who like to exercise, particularly if you do more than type of exercise during a session. It is great for multisport. I wear this watch all day — I like it better than any other smartwatch. And since the world has changed, my expensive dress watches sit in a case, and I wear the Garmin Fenix 6 every day. Also it is a nice upgrade over the Fenix 3. Battery life is excellent and I like the way it looks and feels. ... show more

  • Great Watch
I love this watch with one gripe. I did buy this watch when it was on sale, but I almost always try to purchase items at a discount. I previously had 2 different Samsung smart watches before getting my fenix 6. This watch blows them out of the water with fitness tracking and gps ability. My other watches had a sim card but I almost never used it outside of two different occasions. Garmin did a fantastic job and I will continue to purchase their watches in the future. I did however have to send in my watch just a month ago because of ongoing stuck button issue that a lot of these watches have. That is my only gripe and will not stop me from purchasing again. ... show more

  • Awesome watch, oxygen function is lacking
I have owned multiple styles of Garmin watches over the years including the Fenix 3 and 5. This watch is a beast. I almost feel like I don't do enough to own this watch. I use it for running, walking, biking, hiking, kayaking, golf, and swimming. This barely scratches the surface of what it is capable of. I gave 3 stars on the accuracy because the oxygen sensor function still has a ways to go. On me, it reads between 89 - 93% and I always stay 98% and above. Additionally, the oxygen function eats a lot of battery. If you use the "monitor oxygen throughout the night" function, it will cut battery life in half. (Without oxygen function running) Battery life is about 2 weeks in watch mode. ... show more

  • Good build quality and premium materials at a premium price.
Switched from a Fitbit Ionic to a Fenix 6 Sapphire so I will compare the two in this review. Comfort: The Fitbit ionic is smaller on wrist and therefore more comfortable Accuracy: The Fenix 6 is a more accurate step counter, the Ionic is a more accurate sleep tracker (do not get a Garmin watch if sleep tracking is a priority, its not very good). Reliability: My coworker had a Fenix 3 for 4 years with no issues. I have not had a Fitbit product last me more than just out of warranty before it broke. Features: The Fenix 6 is the most feature packed fitness tracker on the market. If its trackable, this thing can track it Application: If you are into challenges and connecting with other users, stick with Fitbit. It is very difficult to find friends/connections on Garmin . The Fitbit app is easier to used partially because there are less metrics however, the Garmin app provides you a lot more insight into your fitness. If you are a casual user, the fitbit app is better otherwise the garmin app is better Sync: I can tell you that the Garmin brand watches sync way better than fitbit. I hate syncing to the fitbit application Connectivity: The ionic has fitbit pay and you can connect wireless headphones. The Fenix does Garmin Pay, you can connect wireless headphones and a bunch of external sensors including heart rate straps. Garmin is more advanced here. Material Quality: NO competition here, the Fenix 6 is much better built. Battery Life: Expect 4-5 days from the Ionic. THe Fenix 6 is giving me 5 days with every sensor enabled and a few GPS runs. I would suspect I could get 6-7 days without using the GPS and if i turn off the SP02 sensor, that number increases to 10-11 days. The Fenix 6 has way better battery life. Value: The Ionic is a way better value at $200 vs $800 for a Fenix 6. OVERALL: I like the quality of the Fenix 6. I wouldn't buy another Fitbit because I got tired of the poor customer support and products that broke right after the warranty period. If you are a casual user, buy a cheaper watch. if you like numbers and are very active, this is the watch for you. ... show more

  • Swapping to Garmin from Apple Watch was the best decision!
Absolutely outstanding watch. I had an Apple Watch 4 before this that I dropped and broke the screen. This watch was more expensive but the features available for running and golf are awesome. The Apple Watch never did auto shot tracking like the Garmin does while I’m golfing. It’s very apparent when I get to each mile when I run. Apple Watch was good for GPS but it didn’t alert you very well. Battery life for me is about a week and I run 3-4 times for about 30 minutes and walk 5-6 times for about 15 minutes and wear it 24-hours of the day. The Apple Watch had to be charged daily. The exercise screens are customizable but are very helpful out of the box. For instance, the hike activity shows altitude, ascent, descent, and has a map that shows trails. You can even create your own custom activities. I was hesitant to switch from Apple to Garmin but now that I have, I will never look back. As a nice side note, I like that it looks like a normal watch. It fits much better in the business world. ... show more
