    • An amazing upgrade from the Apple Watch.
So I purchased this lower model even though I had been eyeing the Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire, and I had previously come from Apple but recently switched over to Android when i got the Motorola Edge 2023. So far I love this watch. Here's my list of Pros. - It reads my heartrate regularly and fairly accurately - I get ALL of my notifications (Apple watch had a serious problem with notifications from certain apps) - I love the map features because I do go hiking often and usually don't have service where I go so having a GPS centralized map helps me figure out where I am going on trailless hikes. - Steps counter is pretty accurate though sometimes registers my arm movements whenever I play with my kids so I get extra steps. - Definitely waterproof as I have showered with it on, washed dishes, washed my car, this thing has been dunked in and soaked in water and performs as promised. I'm not a diver though so I can't attest to the depth other than in a pool. - Love the wrist awareness for when the light goes on. It's pretty sensitive so whenever I have to put my daughter down I have to take off my watch so it doesn't light up the room. It's pretty bright, so the "flashlight" feature is pretty great and works well in the dark. - THE BATTERY LASTS FOR DAYS. Even with heavy notification activity, I won't need to charge it for at least 3 days, and my watch will tell me for how many days the battery will last. I love that it learns your patterns too and adjusts the battery life accordingly. Cons! Not really much here honestly. - My only con is that the screen is not touch sensitive. You HAVE to use the buttons. But I suppose that helps to add to the battery life and reduces the chances of the screen cracking under pressure as the technology for a touch screen is different than standard watch glass. - The watch face store could have more variety that doesn't require you to PURCHASE the watch face. One thing I loved about Apple Watch is that it had SO may different faces and setting up the complications for the different faces seemed a bit easier and more streamline. Through the Garmin IQ app it can be a little confusing. - Updating can be a bit of a chore and I am a little disappointed that it doesn't come with a lot of storage space or upgradeable storage space. It really limits how many apps you can have. Other than that, so far, I give this watch a 5/5. It works great, it looks great and better than an Apple Watch (in my opinion I prefer circles to squares), it does what I need it to do and it does it well. Watch came mint. Everything works great. Only thing I find underwhelming is the battery. Perhaps I’m not optimizing it, but compared to the fenix 7, this feels like it has half the battery life. Haven’t been able to use solar yet since it’s winter here, but hoping that helps. The charge right now lasts 10 days or so before it needs to be recharged. On the the golf course, I lost 40% of my battery after 5 hours. No solar use though since it was overcast. ... show more

It takes time and patience to learn how to work the watch. But you do have a agent that will help. So much on the device and the GPS is accurate. Wish it was a touchscreen.

    • The Battery doesn't last as long as marketed.
Really very disappointed with this watch, I wish I had returned it in the window that I had. For the Exercises it works really well and the GPS is great. Sleep tracking is not ideal for how expensive the watch is, which is a shame I was really looking forward to that feature. For I don't get very much sleep and was hoping for a look into how I could improve. 11 days battery, bah not even close. A lot closer to 3. Even with being outside every day for work. I wish I could use youtube music as the default music app instead of Spotify or what ever else is the other one. ... show more
