  • This is a terrific golf watch!
Color: Black Style: GPS Golf Watch
I always thought a golf watch to give me yardage would be a neat thing to have, but the early models were about $300, which is more than I was willing to pay. So when I was made aware of this model, I jumped on it immediately. This is terrific. Basic, but does everything I need and then some, and is very accurate, within reason. You have to take into account that this will give you yardage to the font, middle and back of the green, not the exact pin placement. But unless you have a single digit handicap, that's more than good enough. Every once in a while, I'll play with someone that has one of those rangefinder binocular like things. They spend 30 - 45 seconds peering through their rangefinder to come up with a number that is within 5 yards of my number. Is that going to change which club you use? No. Usually, after a half dozen holes, they give up screwing around with their rangefinder and defer to the quick glance at my watch which is much faster and easier and really just as good. I also like being able to get the yardage to the hazards -- very helpful when deciding whether to go for it or lay up. Last week I left my watch plugged into the charger and didn't take it to the course. Absolutely ruined the golfing experience for me. I don't ever want to shoot another round without this watch. ... show more

  • Accurate
Color: Black Style: GPS Golf Watch
The distance yardage is very accurate, it comfortably and easy to use. I can play two rounds of golf on one charging. May be able to get a third round but I haven’t tried that. It is easy to update the software through my laptop and download my score cards.

  • Game changer
Color: Black Style: GPS Golf Watch
Would highly recommend to anyone. We'll worth the money and much more convenient than a range finder.

  • For the price, they need better features...but still improves your golf IQ and decision making
Color: Black Style: GPS Golf Watch
It is great in finding your golf course and giving approximate distances. It is difficult to use when approaching ditches, small streams, etc. It is NOT intuitive so you have to learn mostly by trial and error. It should easily tell you where you are and how far to a ditch or hazard and easily compute how far to get over it. It does it for major hazards but you have to cycle through a lot of screens. One feature it REALLY needs it the ability to measure your distance from one shot to the next. For instance, it knows the distance from the tee to the green and it can show the remainder of the yards left to cover: but you ought to be able to tap a button and see automatically the distance covered by each shot (and to record that on the device) so you have some idea of driving distance, 2nd shot distance, 3rd shot and so on. With a historical record (it will keep score if you use that feature) it should be able to tell you how your playing is either consistent or improving. ... show more

  • This watch does NOT have bluetooth
Color: Granite Blue Style: GPS Golf Watch
I was taken aback that Garmin has got chintzy with what were once normal features. My previous Garmin golf watch was their most basic offering. For some reason after 2 years, it seized up, stayed in demo mode no matter how many hard resets I did to revert to factory settings. But it paired with my phone, allowing me to monitor my rounds in great detail; it also counted steps (not that this was ever vital, but it did it). Now Garmin has a whole bunch of different golf watches with a serious price jump from one model to the next, for relatively basic additional features. But really - - - holding back on basic blue tooth. I never would have guessed….EVERYTHING has blue tooth these days. From a golf watch perspective, this watch does the usual to-the-green measurements accurately. It also gives other measurements to traps, water, doglegs, etc., but I would not bet the farm on the accuracy of some of these other measurements. I have been a Garmin guy for several devices, for a long time now, and am pretty sure I will continue to do so. But I am going to be wary about getting nickle-and-dimed by future products, and also whether my wife’s watch or mine fail again after only a couple of years. ... show more
