  • Does a darn good job for what it is.
Size: 14 sensors Style: Approach CT10 - Full Set
First off, these aren't 100% and if you want precise data you may need to add in a missed club here or there, putts in particular more or less don't get registered but let's be honest, you're not trying to track your putting stats and GPS isn't precise enough to give you good data on that anyways. For the most part though, these work very reliably and painlessly if you follow the instructions - put clubs away after use, don't have multiple out at the same time, don't move around a bunch after taking club out unless club is in upside down position, etc. Also, keep in mind GPS is only so accurate so if +-5 yards makes or breaks it for you, this probably won't satisfy you (then again, nothing else will) Originally was going to leave a 4 star review as my set of 10 had 5 experience dead batteries within a month and 6 games, properly stored. And one of the sensors had a battery I couldn't get out. But, 5 minutes in a support chat with Garmin resulted in them sending a replacement sensor and like 10 batteries with free 2 day shipping, and dead batteries may not be their fault as who knows how long they were sitting in an Amazon warehouse. So back up to 5 stars as I have a high level of confidence that any issues I may experience in the future will be fixed. ... show more

  • Changing my game
Size: 3 sensors Style: Approach CT10 - Full Set
The data obtained help me recognize the best club for every shot. Easy to see the data and realize how effective each club. As well as seeing trends BY HOLE for courses played often.. Dropped 5 shots on average.

  • It can’t catch them all
Size: 14 sensors Style: Approach CT10 - Full Set
Data is fascinating. And very thorough. I’ve played 2 rounds so far and am already noticing my chip shots aren’t reliably recorded. 50/50 odds. Putts are even less reliable, but it’s a non-issue since the Garmin watch asks for number of putts at the end of every hole. I tried editing my round via the Garmin app to include the missed chips. Not an intuitive process at all, and not worth the hassle. Overall it’s fun tech to play around with, and some features are truly worth the price. Longest drive, percentage of fairway hits, etc. Average iron distance is also good. But using an 8 or 7 iron to chip around the greens will obviously skew that club’s average distance. Overall, it won’t tell you anything you don’t already know, but it’s a fair amount of fun. ... show more

  • Very useful tool with a couple small caveats
Size: 14 sensors Style: Approach CT10 - Full Set
This does exactly what it's supposed to do. It attaches easily and firmly to each of your clubs, knows which club you're using, and records your stats for each club stroke. It then shows lots of data based on your hits on the Garmin app which gives you great feedback on your game. The Garmin app even lets you make any edits you need to the data. Caveats : It only knows which club you have based on the club being "upright" AND in the sunlight (i.e. out of your golf bag), so you have to be careful not to pull out multiple clubs. It's very accurate but can sometimes miss putts that go a short distance, usually those short putts right by the hole. Probably a GPS limitation. This is easily corrected on your watch at the end of the hole, but just something to look out for. When first pairing these it can seem like they aren't being detected, but you have to remember they only come out of "sleep mode" (to save battery) when exposed to light, so be sure to hold them up to a bright light (or go outside) when you first pair them to your phone. After that they are rock solid being detected by your watch as soon as your pull them out of your golf bag. A full (14) set of these + a Garmin watch is pricey ($400 at least for this + an S12) but worth every penny to help you see how your game is. Especially if you're a stats junkie :) ... show more

It is a lot of work... in my opinion when you are focus on your game... you have to stop... log each hole log your putts and really it gives a short little graph that says here ya go... this is where you stand among our peers... unless I am missing something???? I thought when I got in it would tell me this is what this club carries a ball? nope just a general... broad general. I have only had it about a month.. and maybe more will show up as they record... but I play about 3 to 4 times a week? Am I missing something ... show more

  • CT10 sensors work well (but not always?)
Size: 14 sensors Style: Approach CT10 - Full Set
They made me lazy about keeping score in my head. Found out that was a mistake. Half way through my last round, my 4 wood was unpaired (I got a warning msg on the s12). It paired up again but it was too distracting to do it during the round. Then the driver wouldn’t register shots. Had to add them in later on the app. They don’t register practice swings, or mulligans for the same reason. So maybe good, if you take mulligans. But it won’t know if you’re taking stroke and distance penalty shots. Add those manually. Also later in the round the putter wasn’t reading correctly. Or the S12 wasn’t working correctly. I had to score the hole manually because it wasn’t recognizing the end of the hole when I was on the next tee. Maybe there were battery issues in the sensors? I got new batteries and will try tomorrow with all fresh cells seeing as I took the ct10s straight out of the box and onto my clubs. The cells may have been long in the tooth already. Otherwise, I liked how they worked before those issues popped up. First round worked flawlessly. I think it’s a cheap fix for new batteries, if that’s the cure. ... show more

  • Perfect

A bit pricey , but if you really want to know what your clubs are doing. I highly recommend. Have had no issues. Takes a bit to upload the course results. But really accurate. And useful. Particularly if you are learning the game.
