    • The crusher doesn't work, but…
The crusher isn't the star in this combo. The crusher didn't work at all. I guess you could say it crushed, but the crushed garlic that resulted simply looked smashed, not what I would call crushed. The real star here is the little tube of silicone that you put the garlic cloves in, roll, and have them emerge skinless. This is BRILLIANT. I no longer have to smash the gloves under the flat of my blade, and then remove the peel, and then chop. (Just the week before getting this I was chopping with plastic gloves because of a burn on my hand and discovered that you can do the same approach simply by pinching the cloves with plastic gloves on—so if you have some of those you don't need this tube, but hey, it's really cool.) Instead I just put a couple gloves at a time into the roll of silicone, roll them, and have them pop out skinless, ready to chop. Then it's very easy to rinse out the tube so the skins fall out. Since the crusher didn't work at all as hoped or expected I've discovered a new love of chopping garlic, because the real part of the task I don't enjoy is the clove slapdown to get the skin off. I gave this a 3 because it introduced me to the rolling tube. The crusher didn't work, and was extremely difficult to clean. I've tossed the crushing tool, and retained the rolling tube.     • Very Efficient & Safer Than A Knife
This product makes it so much easier to use because garlic us such odd shaped. Now I no longer have to hold onto them as I tried to cut them with them moving around. So easy to clean just a few rinses and it’s ready to go.

This is a great tool. It is not sharp, so fairly safe to use. Need a little energy to push for operation, but the ease of cleaning makes it worth the effort! Wish this was available USA made...only reason for the 4 star review. Sooo hard to find kitchen gadgets supporting local!

I had the pampered chef garlic press for 2 days before I chewed up the cleaning tool in the disposal. Wasn't going to pay more in shipping than the replacement tool was so I found this one on Amazon.
