Wet your press before you start, and knife then cloves/garlic will not stick... Have to cut the tips off the cloves before putting them in the silicon tube. The pressing straight down is just till the clove starts to show in the holes so the cloves don't move out from under the press when you start the rocking, then continue to do some pressure with rocking back and forth to press the cloves through the holes, it doesn't take alot of strength, add more cloves and repeat till desired amount, use a spoon or knife to scrape the crushed garlic off the press; knock out or brush out of holes any garlic morsels. It works great! Practice makes technique perfect quick and easy done ! No garlic wasted like in the standard garlic press. Speeds up my food prep and silicon tube is a wonder, love it... just what I needed!

I purchased this product to mince garlic in a kitchen with small space. The product works as expected but if the garlic is small, the peeler does not work. With regular sized garlic, it works and minces easily. I am using it since it arrived.

This is okay. It’s probably easier to clean than a press but just as wasteful. It is a curved metal plate with holes in it, not sharpened. I am always looking for new kitchen gadgets to make preparing a meal easier and quicker. For the few seconds it takes to mince the cloves, I think I’ll still with that. Felt like I had to add extra garlic to the recipe….instead of 3 I’d crush 4, just for the left over “skin” on the press.

I have had this garlic press for some time now and these are the reasons I like it- 1. It’s a LOT easier to clean than a conventional garlic press. 2. I can peel garlic cloves with the tube even if I’m not trying to mince it. 3. I can mince multiple cloves of garlic and use the inner surface of mincer. This helps with not having to put the minced cloves of garlic in one by one into the pan while cooking as I would have to do with a conventional press. It’s cheap and really handy in the kitchen. I would strongly recommend this product to people.

The concept of these two items is good, but I was disappointed. The roller garlic skin remover worked once maybe, but most of the cloves that I put in, the skins were not removed. The garlic presser just flattened out the cloves, and I still had to use a knife. I'll stick with my garlic press or mince them myself with a knife where I get better results. Gadgets don't always make things better or easier.

Where has this unique device been all my life? Every once in a while, someone invents a tool that is so simply obvious you have to wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself. Well, you didn’t have to because here it is. It really doesn’t take much strength to push down and get the garlic crushed, but I suppose some people could have a problem wit. You’ll still have to go through the process of taking the skin off the garlic before crushing it. They’ve packaged a “roller tube” that is supposed to do that easily, but I couldn’t get it to work very well and couldn’t be bothered. Maybe you’ll like it, or maybe you’ll stick it in the drawer, like me, and never use it. You will use the press, though. It’s great.

I bought this for my wife as she can no longer use a traditional garlic press. She could not use this either. I tried it and even with a great deal of downward force it tends to smash the garlic rather than crush it as in a traditional garlic press. Even when I sliced garlic into relatively thin slices this device did not work well. Cleaning was more work than cleaning a traditional garlic press. Since this is a single task device that does not do that task well I would not recommend it. While it seems well made made that fact that it does not work well negates that in my estimation.
