I have purchased three of these rugs. The first time I purchased one, I taped it down to the floor in my bedroom using double-sided tape in various spots (rather than lining the entire carpet with tape). There was a fire in the building next door in November, 2022. At the beginning of 2024, I had to temporarily move out of my apart for building wide repairs that were initiated as a result of damage due to that fire. When I pulled up the rug, part of its backing remained stuck to the tape, making the carpet flimsy and falling apart around the edges. However, even then, it still lasted longer and was in better condition than the carpet I had in my living area. When I made the move, this carpet went from my bedroom into my living room. I purchased a new one that went in the bedroom of that temp apartment. The old one served its purpose in the temporary apartment but was tearing at the corners where it had been taped and I did not want to risk it falling apart after I had placed all my furniture when I moved back to my original apartment. I purchased a third one that became the carpet in my bedroom when I moved back into my original apartment. Luckily, these carpets are reasonably priced and it was affordable to do so. For the second and third ones, They do bunch and shift around as they are not taped down. I made the mistake of not taping them this time because I did not want to ruin the carpet when I pulled it up if I had to move again. As a result, even though I have furniture "holding" the carpets in place in both rooms, they have shifted and bunched. Maybe the tape I used was the problem. Maybe the backing on these carpets is weak. I do not know. I DO KNOW that the damage from the tape was much more extensive on another brand. ... show more

    • Beware, these rugs (12 x 15 at least) are folded/damaged for shipping.

The 12 x 15 brown rug I bought was delivered today. The box was completely destroyed and mangled. After cutting loose the remains of the tape wrapped all around the box. The rug was folded up and heavily creased all over it. I decided to spread it out and run the vacuum on it hoping the creases would calm down a bit. No such luck though, it seems like it's stretched in some places and it can't lay flat even if it wasn't creased. It looks like there is something under it all over that's keeping it from flattening out. Also, where some of the creases are, the carpet nap is separated and the interior layer that the nap is attached to is showing. I did try to flatten it out but can't as it's possible that it's been this way for months/years stored in a warehouse somewhere. We haven't decided yet if we will return this carpet. or not. We may give it a few days and see if anything changes. The color and pattern is nice, and it's supposedly made in the U.S. which was a big part of our decision to buy this one.
