UPDATE: I've had this camera since February and it's still going strong. Only advice is that you boost the audio in post on your editor (CapCut mobile app is my go to). This camera has become my work horse camera since the GoPro disintegrated after only occasional use after 6 months. Also note, I only use it in 1080/60 and to be honest, nobody can tell the difference between that and 4k as most people are seeing my videos on their phones. I've asked my friends if they can tell what resolution they're in and they cannot. If this thing dies now,I don't be disappointed at this price. I'm pretty sure it's going to last a good long time into the future. ORIGINAL REVIEW: For my needs this camera fits the bill. If you need all the extra shiny things that gopro offers then get a gopro. I have a hero 8 and I use less than half of the features and I rarely use 4k (which is great on the Gamsod). Since I don't need to re-task satellites from a secret moon base, this camera is REALLY good. I doubt that as a casual user of action cams on my touring bike, that I'll ever purchase another gopro at 3X the price of this camera. UPDATE: Four months in (June) and this camera is a workaholic. My GoPro hero 8 (bought a month earlier than this one) is total trash. The GP8s audio is completely shot, the sd card keeps corrupting, and it freezes all the damn time. This Gamsod HAS NOT FAILED AT ALL with the same amount of use and abuse as the CrapPro gets. GoPro can kiss my A$$.

Took terrific videos of snow storm, from a moving car. EIS was excellent. Later tested some short video recording and tried to listen via camera speaker. Dead. Did not make any sound. Buttons on camera are set up to be water proof. Side effect of being difficult to push. And since no sound emitted, one could not tell when to let go. Returned for a more expensive product.

This showed up in a timely fashion, all of the accessories came individually bagged within the case. I don't know that the case is indestructible but it certainly is durable and does well to protect the inner contents. This comes with so many items I'm honestly not sure that'll I'll end up using all of them but having them readily available should the need arise is always a plus in my book. As they say its better to have and not need, than to need and not have. Thus far I've only used the mini-tripod which works great, its flexible so you can bend and wrap it around smaller things like a thin pole or branch for a particular shot and/or angle. The selfie stick seems pretty durable but I don't know that it would survive a high drop just be aware of the need to use caution. I've also used the head and chest straps both are easily adjustable, comfortable and securely hold my GoPro 8 in place. I'm pretty happy with this purchase thus far.

The media could not be loaded. I own a Iphone 7 and has 32 GB which was not enough memory for my new hobby. I felt this camera price with the memory cards would be a good replacement from using the cell. I thought too the price for just a camera vs a cell phone it would very comparable if not better with the big lens. The image shakes and is not clear for distance as that's what I use it for . And too, what a sports person would use it for. So i see poor image quality, it doesn't match well with down loading as watching what i filmed jumps across the page, not a smooth video.

Bought this as an inexpensive alternative to the Gopro 8. It has many of the same features. In my case I needed a camera capable of doing time lapse Along with filming. I have taken several now. All have turned out perfect. Even in 20 degreee weather. Camera came with a plethora of accessories. I'm order another as soon as I can.

There is almost no volume. In the waterproof case or or out of. Even using the external microphone you have to stick it to you ear to hear it. But still so quiet you can't understand anything said.
