  • No more stick drift!
Color: White
My son needed yet another controller because of “stick drift” and I refuse to keep paying $80 for the original so i looked this one up and decided to get him to try because it’s half the price. At first he was hesitant because it’s doesn’t have the name ps5 on it and apparently I’m a mom that doesn’t know anything about gaming lol. I read him some reviews and he was desperate because I absolutely was not paying $80 for another controller. I ordered. It came the same day. Well, guess what? He loves the controller! He loves the lights! They match his keyboard, pc and led lights in his room! I’m assuming it was easy to connect because he didn’t call me to his room to help him connect it. For whatever reason he thinks I’m his tech support although I supposedly know nothing about gaming 😂 He’s even saving his own money to buy another one to replace his other controller. Now he’s telling all of his friends about this controller that’s viral on tik tok (of course not the controller his mom found). 😂 ... show more

  • Great for price
Color: White
So far so good-still mad I had to even buy one. The controller my ps5 came with had stick drift after a year. My ps4 controllers didn’t work so happy there is this cheap alternative. Also looks cool when it lights up. Super easy too just plugged it in and clicked the home and was back to gaming. Might buy a second in a different color too. ... show more

  • 2 lasted 1 months each
Color: White
I really wanted to like this controller, but after buying TWO of them, I'm convinced the L1 button is on a retirement plan. The first controller's L1 button failed after about a month of light use. No rage quitting, no throwing it across the room, no competitive gaming marathons—just normal everyday gaming. I figured maybe I got unlucky and bought a second one. Unfortunately, the second controller followed the exact same script. About a month later, the L1 button started acting up and eventually failed completely. Everything else about the controller feels decent, but what's the point of having a controller when one of the most commonly used buttons decides to clock out after a few weeks? At this rate, the L1 button has a shorter lifespan than a carton of milk. If you're a casual gamer who only uses L1 to admire it from a distance, you might be fine. But if you actually play games that require the button, be prepared for disappointment. Two controllers. Same problem. Same timeline. That's not bad luck—that's a quality control issue. ... show more

  • Pretty darn good
Color: White
After a few days of use, this controller has performed surprisingly well. It stays connected without any syncing issues, and the analog sticks feel smooth—especially compared to my licensed PS5 controller, which developed drift. I’m pretty rough on my controllers, so that’s a big plus. The face buttons feel a bit unusual at first, almost like you’re not fully sure you’ve pressed them, and the shoulder buttons start out stiff but loosen up with use. I didn’t rely much on the turbo function, but when I tested it, it worked consistently and was easy to toggle on and off. Overall, it’s a solid controller and a good cheaper alternative to the $70–$80 official option. ... show more

My 13yo grandson said its amazing. We both love how cool it looks. Glowing buttons are great for nighttime play. I bought for myself, but think grandson has commandeered. Would buy again.

  • Solid PS5 Budget Gamepad
Color: White
After going through two official controllers with stick drift, I was fed up and wanted a cheaper third-party alternative. Surprisingly, there are very few options in the budget range; most third-party pads are "premium" models costing close to $200. I found this on sale for $40 and figured it was better than spending another $80 on a failing Sony controller. Build and Feel The first thing I noticed was how light it is. This makes sense, since it lacks adaptive triggers and true haptic feedback (it uses standard vibration instead). While adaptive triggers are a cool, I don’t really miss them. However, Sony’s haptics are definitely superior to standard vibration. Testing this in Astro’s Playroom, you no longer feel the subtle textures of the ground or the sensation of rain; it’s just standard light or heavy vibration. That said, the motors are strong and it isn't a dealbreaker for me. The controller has a textured grip (see pic) similar to an Xbox controller, which I prefer. The face buttons feel good and have the same travel depth as the original. The shoulder buttons are very clicky and also have a textured grip. The D-pad is similar to a standard Nintendo D-pad, relatively flat with a slight curve and a smooth finish. Performance The analog sticks feel great. The top edge of the sticks have the same texture as the DualSense. The lighting looks ok, though I keep it turned off. It also includes programmable macro buttons and a turbo feature; while I haven't used them yet, the instructions make the setup look fairly simple. Negatives Unfortunately it lacks a built-in microphone. It does have a headset jack, but if you're playing a game like Astro’s Playroom that requires you to blow into the mic to use abilities, you're out of luck, unless you plug in a headset. The built-in speaker is also a bit of a letdown; while it is loud, there is a noticeable static hiss during constant sound effects, like Astro’s footsteps. It sounds a bit cheap, though most games don't utilize the controller speaker heavily, so it isn't a constant bother. Finally, the face button icons are honestly pretty ugly. I assume it's a patent issue, as they have weird designs that vaguely resemble the standard shapes. Fortunately, it doesn't really matter once you're actually playing. ... show more

  • Serviceable but not comparable
Color: White
Okay so this review will be as honest as it gets. I'm a long time PlayStation gamer. This controller, it's serviceable. It does what it's supposed to do, the sticks work fine with initial calibration right from the box, and seem sensitive and precise. But I have gripes, and they're numerous. One. The rumble on this is weak at best. You can barely feel any feedback. Not even remotely close to what you get with an official PS5 controller. Two. As someone previously pointed out, it may mess with the clarity of audio from wireless headsets. I tested it with a PS5 elite headset, still on the fence about this. Three. The L1 and R1 buttons are too mechanical and clicky. This is not smooth. You have to apply more pressure than should be necessary and it has a distinctive mechanical spring sound when pressed down. It makes you NOT want to use those buttons. Trust me, if you're a flight simulator or no man's sky type of person, you want soft precision. These buttons are anything but that. 4. This, if I had known from the advertisement, would have stopped my purchase immediately. There is NO haptic feedback on the L2 and R2 buttons. If you're hoping for that pushback from them like a PS5 controller, forget it. The intuitive technology Sony created for players looking for an immersive experience is missing and it will make you feel let down. They work fine as buttons, but don't let people convince you this controller is equal in anyway to an official PS5 controller. This will work fine with steam and PC games as any standard controller would, and as stated, with calibration the stick precision seems pretty tight and commendable. I got this because of drift and sticking failure on the official controllers I own. But for 45 dollars I was hoping for more, and no fancy lights justify the cost. 25 bucks would have been more reasonable for this average controller. Sorry if that let's a few folks down. But there's no replacing innovative technology found in the original PS5 hardware. ... show more
