Great value
I just picked up a new one because I loved the last one so much. Great joysticks, no problems with buttons either. Right trigger finally gave out after year and a half or so. Took it back and forth between work and home, even had the kids use it. Most others I’ve seen have the d-pad above the right joystick. I am a huge fan of this because it’s underneath. It’s also great for bigger hands too. It’s really worth the price and quality. Turbo and auto options are pretty sweet too ... show more

Perfect Fit and Easy Setup – Highly Recommend
Love this controller! Works great and feels amazing in hand. I have a 5-year-old son, and it fits his hands perfectly. Setup was a breeze; the instructions are clear and straightforward. It’s lightweight, so you barely notice you’re holding more than just the Switch. We have the OLED version, and following the instructions made it fit perfectly. Great Portable Controller!

I don’t always write reviews, unless i feel like I’ve found a standout product. This controller is awesome and definitely has made me want to play my switch a lot more. Biggest downfall for me on the switch is the comfort with playing the joycons. Let’s face it the ergos on the joycons are pretty trash. This product is pretty great, i like the layout although it did take some time to get used to the non-offset joysticks; since i was using the joycons for a fair amount of time. But once you get used to it the product is pretty awesome. The buttons and sticks are more pleasurable to use and less fatiguing than the standard joycons. I have fairly large hands and the way the controller is shaped it feels great for me personally. Button locations are awesome and they feel good. Overall the controller is a must for me. The cons are minimal but still a few. Sucks that i have to keep mounting and unmounting the switch since the controller doesn’t have NFC to support amiibo usage. Good thing i don’t use them that much. The home button, doesn’t turn on the switch so you gotta go to the power button. Not too bad but it’s there. And i guess the biggest downfall would be that you can’t dock the product while it’s mounted on the controller. But i knew that coming in, since i wanted a one piece. Kinda sucks that the HORI split pad pro cases don’t work for this, but it does feel less wide to the split pad. If you’re looking for a case like i was, the nexigo joypad case works beautifully with this one piece. Overall the controller is a great product. I enjoy it a lot, and as a bonus i informed the company of a sale that was live a few days after i bought the product and they dealt with the price adjustment in a satisfactory manner which i wasn’t fully expecting. Also the company reached out the me a few days after purchase to ask how the controller was working for me. It’s a small thing, but a big gesture. Good replacement for janky switch connections
So my young children are pretty rough on their switches. They use them a lot and over time, the slide on remotes that attach to the switch had all kinds of issues pairing and connecting. You'd slide it in and it wouldn't work or it would work for a minute and then stop working mid game-play. very frustrating. Anyway, I thought I'd give this thing a shot to see if I could address that issue and it turned out to work flawlessly. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to set it up in the switch UI, but this saved me from having to buy another switch. The only complaints I have are that the button layout isn't exactly the same as the switch on the right hand side controls, so that takes some getting used to, and the buttons themselves are a but bulky, but still a great value. ... show more

Makes gaming on the switch better
I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Switch Pro Controller, and let me tell you, it truly lives up to its reputation. One of the standout features of this controller is its incredible comfort. The full-size grip feels great in your hands, allowing for hours of gameplay without any discomfort or cramping. This is a huge advantage, especially for those intense gaming sessions that seem to go on forever. But comfort isn't the only thing this controller has going for it. A Solid Grip with a few Caveats
This full-size Switch grip is surprisingly good. I've been on the lookout for a single-piece grip (as opposed to two separate parts, like the Hori Split Pad) to give me that solid feeling I get when playing my Steam Deck. I was interested in this one because I am a very Dpad-centric gamer, and the PlayStation-style Dpad on this grip intrigued me. I got it on a whim due to having lots of Amazon points lying around, so I figured it wouldn't "cost" me anything to try it out. I'm glad I did! There's a lot to like about this item, although it is not perfect and it does depend on what you're after, so let's go through it all. 1. The Grips (6 out of 10). The handles are full-sized, chonky, meaty grips. They are super ergonomic and feel good to hold. The plastic is kind of middle-of-the-road -- not ultra-cheap, but certainly not premium either. The blue and red "pads" you see are just plastic, not rubber, but they still feel fine. 2. The Dpad (8/10). I'm a big retro- and neo-retro gamer, so a good Dpad is essential to me, and this one was a pleasant surprise. I was concerned about it being in the lower configuration (I have been looking for a grip with the Dpad in the upper configuration for years... as far as I can tell, one does not exist), but due to the big, honkin' grips on this thing, the Dpad placement is not an issue because reaching for it with your thumb feels perfectly fine. The PS-style nature of it also means it's quite hard (though not impossible) to get unintentional diagonals with it. This is awesome for platformers and general use, though it makes it a little harder to use for, say, fighting games or to use for 360-degree movement (e.g., in a beatemup arcade game). Not unpleasant, but it takes some extra effort and adjustment. It is a bit on the mushy side since it is a membrane connection and not dome switches, but that's my preference so long as it has a reasonable amount of resistance, which I think this one does. I'm very happy with this aspect of the device! 3. Face Buttons (7/10). These are quite large, about the same size as the Hori Split Pad Pro, which is nice. The button labels are in a muted red and are visible "inside" of the buttons, since the buttons themselves are clear. I guess it does make it a little hard to read the labels, but who still needs to read their buttons in 2025? Didn't bother me at all. What does bother me is... 4. The Noise (3/10). Holy Crappin' Clackalackin', Batman! Every single button on this grip is about 2x louder than it should be, and that even includes the Dpad. It's honestly to the point it makes it hard to hear the freakin' game being played, so headphones might be in order. The biggest offenders are the bumpers, which are about 3x louder than you'd want. Speaking of which, let's talk about those... 5. Shoulder buttons (2/10). This is where I dock a star (since noisy buttons might not be a big deal to you). The bumpers and triggers feel fine to press... a bit cheap, but not terrible. The triggers have this odd pivot in their center which actually means you can actuate the button by pressing it either at its top or the button. At first I thought I would come to appreciate this quirk, but ultimately I would have preferred that the triggers be half their size and the bumpers be twice theirs. The bumpers are truly the worst aspect of this grip because they are placed too high, so it takes an unnatural effort of stretching between your index and middle finger to reach them. This seems to be much more pronounced on the right hand versus the left, but maybe that's just me. There are ways to deal with this: I have started using customized controls (where available) to favor the triggers over the bumpers, which definitely helps, but that's certainly not the ideal scenario. For me, this isn't enough for me to hate the device overall, but it is by far the biggest miss here. 6. Joysticks (9/10). It's kinda funny that I can score the sticks so highly when I'm more of a Dpad guy... maybe that's because I don't use them enough to know any better? But they're great: feel great, respond great, and they come with my favorite cap, which is the concave style with grippy edges. I haven't used them for long enough to see if they get discolored or anything, but for me these sticks are quite good. Using them as the primary movement input also makes it easier to reach those shoulder buttons, so there's that. 7. Function Buttons (5/10). These aren't perfect, but they're not awful either. You get three function buttons in a vertical configuration on each side: Turbo, Select, and Capture on the left and Auto-turbo, Start, and Home on the right. The issue is they are all small and Start & Select (the ones you're most likely to use) are in the center of each set of three, which can make them a bit difficult to locate and press, especially if you're playing a game where hopping into a menu to drink a potion or swap your equipment in the middle of battle is important. However, this isn't the end of the world for me and maybe it just needs some getting used to, so I scored it right down the middle. 8. Other (3/10). Exhaust vents are present and intelligently placed. All Switch buttons across the top are not obstructed in any way. Unfortunately, you have to exert a little force to open the Game Card slot while in the grip. There is a cutout intended to allow the flap to open, but it is positioned about 0.25 inches too far to the left to function properly. However, if you pick the flap open and open it up, the little "extension" part of the flap then clears the top of the grip, so you can get into the slot -- you just have to pull the flap out a little to do so. This wouldn't have been an issue if the cutout had been positioned correctly to begin with. Finally, the grip does have pass-through charging, which works as advertised. You cannot stand the Switch upright while in the grip or use the kickstand in any way, just so you know. Overall, the grip is decent. The three big flaws are the noisy buttons, the slightly inconvenient position of the bumpers, and the fact that the Game Card cutout is not in the correct position. However, all of the controls feel really nice to use (even if they do feel a bit on the cheap side) and I've had a great time using this grip for some good old retro and retro-inspired gaming (I just completed my first playthrough of Guns of Fury using this grip, to give you an idea of what kinds of games I'm talking about -- I never touched the joysticks once). Again, getting in and out of the map (Select) and menu (Start), especially to quickly access healing items or change a loadout is a little awkward due to the positioning of those buttons, but I managed it fine. So, depending on what you're after, this could be a pretty solid grip, but it does have some drawbacks. For me, I'm more likely to use this than my CRKD Nitro Deck, because the Dpad on the Nitro Deck gives me false diagonals all the time. However, the build quality on the Nitro Deck is noticeably better, you get swappable joystick caps, the buttons are quieter, the shoulder buttons feel better to use, the function buttons are placed more reasonably (but not the Turbo button), and you also get back buttons (if you're into that kind of thing, which I'm not). On the other hand, the Gammeefy's handles are much more comfortable to hold than the Nitro Deck, especially if you're a Dpad gamer. So again, it all depends on what you're after. For me, I was prepared to return the Gammeefy grip if I didn't like it, but I'm going to keep it as another part of my arsenal of Switch grips and controllers. It isn't perfect by any means, but there's enough here for me to like that it gets to stay. UPDATE: I'm adding a fourth star after having lived with this thing for a few weeks. A couple of additional points I've noticed: 1. The plastic is pretty nice to hold. It isn't premium, but it isn't super cheap either. It has a nice grit to it, which is pleasant to the touch. 2. The positions of the function buttons, especially Start and Select, are still not ideal, but they aren't as much of a problem as I thought early on. Turns out my bias stems from so many years of expecting Start/Select to be positioned well above the left joystick and face buttons. However, while hunting for these buttons among the Turbo, Capture, and Home buttons are still a little bit of a bugaboo, most of my issues with finding these buttons was from my own muscle memory, so it's not as bad as I thought. 3. The noisiness of the buttons might be a personal preference thing. I do still find most of the buttons to be too clacky, but maybe it's just me. To summarize this update, I think a couple of what I consider shortfalls for this device might not be a big deal for everyone and I do find myself using this grip frequently. As such, I think it falls somewhere between "meh" and "incredible," so I'm assigning it one additional star! ... show more
