  • Functional~ish -- but not the best...
Color: X2 Bluetooth
Issue #1 -- Misleading size information: yes, it will horizontally fit a larger phone -- but it's not deep enough -- like it will grip on to the bottom third of your phone -- barely, and the thing seems unstable at that length -- like, it's likely just going to shoot your phone back out at you -- It needs to be much deeper to be really useful at this length. Issue #2 -- Does not fit human hands -- the controller is really small -- even the "ergonomic grips" (which look good in the screenshots until you realize they're for tiny cat paw sized hands) -- and you'd think, okay, maybe it's fine for a child, or whatever -- or maybe "great, it will fit in my pocket then!" -- except then you have these GIANT thumbsticks that stick out of the top for days -- so, no, they definitely do not fit tiny hands -- like, unless you only use the dpad, which is awkwardly placed... -- Like if they made one with slide sticks -- or not sticks -- it would at least work for children (or cats with thumbs). Issue #3 -- Misleading Functionally: it looks like it has all these extra buttons -- but one of them takes a screenshot (useless), and the other doesn't do anything -- at all -- like even in a joypad tester app/input tester app, it doesn't even register as ANY sort of key press or input. -- Weirdly, the power button on the bottom side does register as a keypress if you short tap it... -- I hope they update the firmware and allow us to use these two buttons as inputs, otherwise they might as well not exist. Pros: 1. The joysticks at least don't seem to drift in the few minutes I've tried to use this thing -- the input tester has them resting at 0.0039 (literally on both sticks, ever axis) which indicates the quality is at least okay -- if you were to round to the nearest hundredth, that means they rest at .00 which is great. -- and most games have like at least a 0.25 deadzone, so that's honestly fine. 2. Haven't used the dpad for gaming yet, but it seems like it's better than most. Cons that are acceptable: 1. The L/R buttons are a bit clicky. 2. The L/R buttons are all digital (L2/R2 should be analog). Other: 1. It's styled with Switch colors, but the buttons have the Xbox/Dreamcast layout -- I don't know if that matters to you -- but like if you plan to do SNES/DS emulation, the buttons are labeled backwards of what you would expect. Manufacturer recommendations: 1. Make all of the buttons inputs so that we can map them in our games 2. Make the slot deeper so that we can actually FIT a large phone inside of it. 3. Make the thumb sticks flush or just get rid of them, and position the DPAD comfortably. 4. Make it larger so it fits into adult hands. 5. Remove letters from the buttons, or put tiny LED displays in them -- because they're basically always wrong. (Seriously, I would pay $150 - $200 for a controller with configurable LED buttons, that was actually ergonomic and usable. $400 if it folded out from the bottom of my phone and had a QWERTY texting keyboard... -- like the Open Pandora...) ... show more

  • Overall... Impressed!
Color: X2 Bluetooth
This controller/gamepad arrived today and I've only played with it for about an hour, so these are my first impressions—so far, I'm impressed: Connectivity and Compatibility: The G3s has been very easy to connect through all three methods: Bluetooth, Dongle, and Wired. Via Bluetooth, I can connect the G3s to both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my Samsung Galaxy A20. Though, one thing to note is that so far I'm having issues getting the controller to properly function on iOS games that support MFi (Made for iPhone) gamepads; an example of this is how in Terraria Mobile, the only buttons that work are the jump button and inventory button in iOS 13.2. That aside, the G3s connects just as easily with all three connectivity methods (and of course, all the buttons work. +1 for Turbo!) and there are no complaints from me over the delay time in any of the methods. Features: I absolutely love that this controller has vibration motors. It's a must-have for me and it was hard to find a vibrating controller for a good price until I came across the G3s! There's only one flaw regarding vibration that I'll discuss in a little bit. Besides that, I love the light-up YXBA and Home buttons. They're not too bright nor too dark. Though, I'm not sure how I feel about being able to have the lights turn off by holding L1+R1 for five seconds, as some of the games I play will make use of L1+R1 for that long. Feel in the Hands: I'm not a big fan of lightweight controllers, but I am more than impressed over the fact that the G3s is able to be such a light controller taking into consideration that there are vibration motors inside. It's only a tiny bit smaller than what I was expecting, but after the little time I've had with it, I'm already used to it. I'm not a huge fan of the layout of an Xbox controller, so having the left stick next to the right stick is a huge plus for me, and it's the main reason I purchased THIS controller and not another one! Flaws: Here's where my issue with the vibration is. When the controller vibrates, the L1 and R1 keys will make rattling noises unless you're resting your fingers on the buttons, because there's no rubber or other noise-reducing material in between the plastic housing and the shoulder buttons preventing the rattling sounds every time the controller shakes. That aside, the other minor issue I have with the controller is how close the D-pad is to the left joystick. I have big hands, and I'm not sure if this will be an issue, but it may just be a personal preference. Final thoughts: With all that being said, overall, this is the best controller I've purchased so far and I'm hoping that there will be future physical improvements to it for a whole 5-star rating! Let's see how long this guy can last me. Thank you, GameSir! ... show more

  • Good luck
Color: X2 Bluetooth
When you first charge this controller out of the box, you have a 50% chance of it failing to charge. If you plug it in & get a red blinking light, you have to follow a series of steps, found only on their YouTube page, to get it to charge how it should've in the first place. (Take a pin & push it into the small hole by the power button. While holding this reset button in, simultaneously plug the USB-C cord into the port to charge. Keep the reset button held in for 2 minutes. When you let it go, the red blinking light will turn into a yellow blinking light. And then over time while charging it will turn into a green blinking light.) That is very shady. Connectivity is another big issue with this controller. Sometimes it stays connected. Sometimes it doesn't. Very frustrating. Don't even bother downloading the GameSir app. Don't bother reading the broken English manual either. Both are useless. How they got a sponsor from Microsoft is quite honestly the biggest shock of all. Almost every review I've watched on YT concerning this product is nothing but praise. Written reviews seem to be the only legit reviews that aren't paid sponsors or shills. Don't buy this product. Buy a Steamdeck or Ayaneo instead. You might get lucky with a good product here but for all the hassle of troubleshooting this it's just not worth it dude. ... show more

  • Great service and worth it.
Color: X2 Bluetooth
I love using this device. It being so small it seems just as prone to joy stick issues as other devices like it. But the company sent me a new one within like 4 days. Love the item. Great experience
