Build quality seems good overall. The Hall effects thumb stick modules really do work great to prevent stick drift. Very responsive controller. Shipped me a cord that only worked for about 4 months, i can't afford a new 16 dollar controller cord every season of every year, and you shouldn't have to either. Please purchase this with a separate usb c cord to play with or else your controller's life is on a finite timer, hopefully they stop shipping faulty cords but seeing as how people have been having this issue for years now i don't think they will

Initially was wanting to get a PS5 controller but learned about hall effect. Did some research and decided on this controller. Whilst I wasn't trying to buy from the dealer, I didn't realize there were two separate listings. The controller came great and brand new. The software is okay and decent itsh. It's functional and mild easy to use. However I noticed some glitching in the software with the deadzones and triggers. Not sure if it's just me or not, but the controller works and the deadzones are non existent. The analogs are smooth, loose feeling but tight. The buttons are great and responsive. I enjoy the membrane x, y, a, b buttons, I don't need the clicky sounds. The cord is long enough, might even prefer longer? It sucks its not wireless either, would have made this controller even better. Came with a mo th of Game Pass Ultimate, instructions and a Sticker. The controller is also relatively small. Wasn't expecting it to be so tiny (although I have bigger hands than a normal person).

First, a caveat, the five stars are for a relatively basic controller at or around this price point. It is not intended to say this is better than the group of $170+ very customiziable high end controllers out on the market. The title really says it all. I have two of the SE controllers, one of which is a very well used one a buddy gave me to convince me to try these. I also have an HE model which I recently purchased. The review really does come down to three things. One, no stick drift (I have three "waiting to be repaired" official Xbox controllers on a shelf in the closet, all with significant stick drift). Two, no batteries required and a very long usb cable included. Finally, three, costs less than the Microsoft version which has reliably failed for me more than once. Cons: Main one up front, be VERY careful if you choose to update the firmware, do some research first. Also, the D-pad seems a bit less accurate to me. I get more random "wrong" inputs than I used too but its not enough to worry about for me. I have always been bad on the D-pad anyway so it might just be user error. On the SE models the buttons do feel a bit squishy if that bugs you, it is a membrane rather than a microswitch. Finally, it weighs less and feels a bit "plasticky" if you are inclined to equate how heavy something is with quality.
