  • One of the best for the price
One year so far and is still working. I have an Rtx 4080 super with the 14700k intel, msi motherboard and aio cooling with 7 fans and have plenty of power.

  • Top Tier Power Supply
I will say this first off... I have no way to test the 1000w claim... Even using BOTH my CPU and GPU at full load, my home lab only pulls about 400w of power. As for this Gamdias 100w Gold PSU specifically: It is a beefy, fully modular power supply, with the newer PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 connectors, meaning if you are using newer GPUs that use the 2x6 or 12-pin cables, you do not need to use standard 8-pins and connect them to an adaptor. Being fully modular, means cable management is a breeze as you only need to connect the actual cables your devices require, vs a standard PSU that has tons of extra you have to find somewhere to tuck away in the case. You get a lot of cables, all individual labeled, so you know what goes where. For the price, this is definitely a budget conscience buy, while also delivering the performance of PSUs 2x 3x the price. ... show more

  • Inexpensive, reliable, does the job.
This is my second gamdias 1000w psu, powers my 4080 and 4090 easily without and problems. Bought a second one for a 2nd build.

  • Native 12VHPWR and real ATX 3.1 headroom, no adapter pigtail needed
ATX 3.1 with a native 12VHPWR cable is the specific reason to pick this over a cheaper Gold unit, because modern GPUs pull transient spikes way above their rated draw and an older supply will trip its own protection and drop the whole system on you. Power delivery is the strong suit here, with 200 percent excursion headroom to absorb those spikes and a native 16 pin carrying the full 600W instead of an adapter pigtail, which gets rid of the exact connector that has caused people so much grief. Installation went smoothly, and being fully modular meant I only ran the cables I actually needed, which helps a lot in a case that is already crowded. Cable management is helped further by the flat ribbon style leads, which lay down behind the tray better than round bundles even if they are not as pretty. Reliability should be good long term thanks to the 135mm dual ball bearing fan, since ball bearings are what let a fan run horizontal for years without developing a rattle, and the smart fan control keeps it quiet enough that I cannot pick it out over the case fans at desktop loads. Appearance is clean and understated with a solid housing and tidy printing, though the ribbon cables are the part that keeps it from looking premium through a side window. The modular sockets are keyed clearly enough that you are not going to jam a PCIe cable into a CPU header, which is a mistake that ends in smoke. Value for money is strong for a 1000 watt Gold unit that is genuinely ready for a 5000 series card with no adapters in the path. ... show more

  • So Quiet He Used a Flashlight to Check the Fan
We're collecting parts for a home AI build, the plan being to run an LLM locally on dual GPUs. This is the power supply for that machine. Which makes the honest headline this: it has been bench tested and nothing more. It's not in a case, it hasn't been under load, and I can't tell you a thing about how it behaves with two cards pulling on it. Everything below is day-one impressions. It is quiet. My husband had it running on the bench with his ear right next to it and couldn't hear it, then put a flashlight on the fan to confirm the thing was actually spinning. That's my review of the noise level. He didn't believe it either. Both the unit and the cables are clearly labeled, so there's no squinting at ports trying to guess what goes where. The cables aren't stiff, which matters when you're routing them later. They come in a bag with the brand on it, which sounds like nothing until you own three generations of parts and need to know at a glance which modular cables belong to which supply. They aren't interchangeable between brands, and mixing them up is the kind of mistake that costs you components. It also includes an adapter cable for a case fan. I didn't see that promised anywhere, and normally it's a thing you go buy separately if you need one. The one thing we'd have liked is LEDs, since nearly everything has them now. The listing never claimed any, so we're not counting it against the product. Noting it only in case you assumed. Good so far for anyone building out a high-draw machine, with the large caveat that "so far" is as far as we've gotten. If low noise matters to you, at least at idle, this is very quiet. ... show more

  • Affordable Well-Equipped 1000w Capable Modular Supply
I had not heard of the Gamdias Brand before getting my hands on this 1000w power supply, but I am pleasantly surprised by the unit. It features a nice included set of modular cables, in a organized zipper bag, the power supply and the requisite cord to connect up to your AC wall power. The supply itself is finished in a matte black and the outer case is nicely formed and stamped with the upper portion allowing adequate airflow for the fan to keep this behemoth 1000w unit cool. My unit DID NOT have the silent running switch, as I've seen some of the other earlier units have, but I did not find the unit offensively loud in operation. The supply is 80plus GOLD certified, and features support for ATX3.1 right out of the box. There are limited number of CPU and pci-e connectors, so verify your build requirements before you choose this supply over other modular options. At 129 dollars at the time of writing, this falls on the value end of the 1000w pc power supply spectrum. Given the quality of the included kit, it appears to be a good low-price option for your money. Installing and setting up the supply is a breeze, and it operates without any stability issues in my Intel powered rig. ... show more
