Purchased to protect beehives. Set up according to the instructions but was unable to get enough charge to prevent animals (raccoons & bears) from crossing the fence. Charger was in full sun and ground rod was replaced with a 6’ copper ground rod but still had no power.

At first we couldn't get it to work but found the problem (with help from company) and now works great!! Would recommend to anyone who has a garden without access of electricity.

Does not even jolt a squirrel. After talking to tech support and putting in a second pipe 10’ from the original and running a jumper to it, still doesn’t jolt a squirrel.

So far it is working beautifully. For years I have fought racoons eating all my pears from tree, not getting any for myself. So far this year all the pears are on the tree and doing great. In fact, I picked several this past weekend.

I recently purchased this unit and received 7-19-14 -- set up immediately, but no current. Contacted company and they said batteries incorrectly inserted. Checked everything and is where it should be but still no current. Cannot recommend this product.
