My oven died, but just the oven heating element (broiler and stovetop are fine). I have an expensive, fancy toaster that absolutely sucks, so I had been looking for a toaster oven already and decided to size up a little since it was doing the job of two appliances for the time being. This would have been a little too much for the kitchen in the house I grew up in. I have a big kitchen now with tons of counter space so it's fine, but if you don't this might not be for you. The toast function is a little silly to figure out but it works great for baking so far. I've made cupcakes, 2 casseroles, toast of course, a cake, and baked some bread sticks. All came out good, it does cook really evenly but it does tend to cook the outside before the inside is completely done so I have to cover a lot with foil (no big). I haven't had a chance to play with too many other settings yet but I am very pleased so far. It's beautiful and easy to clean. It does get very hot on the outside when cooking, but it also cools down very quickly. I like that it has two racks that I can adjust as needed, and that the crumb tray can be removed completely for cleaning. The light inside stays on the whole time which is a little odd but makes it easy to see what's inside. The door is completely glass so you can watch it easily. It also came very well packaged, nothing was broken or even dented. I wish the timer wasn't just a big dial and the toast settings were a little clearer, but overall I love it. ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW My original very positive review is below the line. But after about a month or two it overheated frighteningly. I reached out to Galanz. They had no interest in the danger it poses. They said they would send a refund and after much back and forth in email, I have not received it more than 2 months later. In talking with the rep I got the impression that they know that this happens, yet no concern when first reported, or since. IF YOU BUY IT ... I strongly urge you to stay close by when using it. It is potentially very dangerous and could cause a FIRE. ---------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW May be my best Amazon purchase ever. Did not imagine it could be this good. Besides being beautiful and spacious, the convection feature works flawlessly and almost silently, and the entire oven is a top quality build. The control knobs are excellent, etc. Have owned many toaster ovens over the years. This is the best one, by far. But I think we need to stop calling this (and other brands) toaster ovens. They are ovens. Toasting is probably the least of its performance. If that's what you need I respectfully suggest you buy a toaster. You can bake a whole chicken in this and almost every other thing you would do in a conventional oven. Didn't think I would like the blue, but it's actually beautiful and I'm glad I took the plunge, especially because of what a solid build it is. ... show more

I love this little oven. I live alone and so far I've used it to air fry, bake, convection bake, toast, and reheat leftovers. I have not yet used the broil, pizza, or dehydrate functions. I love all of the tools or components it comes with, the little pan removal tool works really well to grab ahold of the hot pans or trays and pull them out. All of the food and crumb trays, the air fryer basket, and the baking wire rack all fit inside of the oven when not in use for convenient storage. As should be expected, the outside of the oven gets very hot, this includes all four sides and the top of the oven. I pull mine out away from the wall about 3 or 4 inches when I use it. I also make sure nothing is within 3 or 4 inches of the sides when it is in use. And of course never put anything on top of it. It has vents on the two sides, the back, and the top. Like all ovens and airfryers that are brand new, this one had that new appliance smell when I used it the first 3 times. The first use I didn't put any food in it just the pans and basket it came with. The instruction booklet tells you to run it without food at the highest temperature (450) for at least 30 minutes. This bakes out the excess grease/oil from the manufacturing process. The booklet said some smoking is possible but I never noticed that. I turned on my air, vents, and opened a window due to the burning plastic/metal odor. The second time I used it I ran it empty again and this time it released maybe half the odor compared to the first time. The third time I ran it I did air fry tators tots and there was almost no odor. After that it never smelled again. The air fryer basket seems reasonably good at not allowing French fries, tator tots, and vegan (no meat) nuggets to stick to it. They come off fairly easily. Some crumbs do stick but because the basket is so small I just wash it in the dishwasher every couple of uses and all the burnt-on food crumbs get washed off easily. The food tray, which is shaped like a sheet cake pan, I've been using as a drip/crumb tray because the actual crumb/drip tray it comes with is a flat sheet similar to an old fashioned cookie sheet that has no sides. To me it's easier and I don't have to worry about crumbs rolling off the one with the sides, compared to the one without. I'm vegetarian so I do not eat or cook meat, so I cannot say what happens when you cook greasy or fatty meat like bacon that may splatter while baking, but otherwise I've had no problems with my foods splattering on the sides of the oven. I've reheated food that sizzled and bubbled, but no real issue there. When it comes to reheating food, I have some metal round baking cake pans with about 1 inch sides that I have used to reheat leftovers. Since you cannot put glass, ceramic, or stoneware in the oven, metal is your only option for reheating leftovers. This has worked really well for me. I also have some metal bowls of various small sizes that fit inside the oven really well. Glass and ceramic or stoneware are not safe to use in tiny ovens like this because they sit too close to the heating elements which risks cracking or shattering the dishware. The first couple times may not cause noticeable damage, but don't risk your glass/ceramic/stone dishware they will eventually be damaged by being so close to the heating elements. You'll have to use your standard large oven with those types of delicate dishware. I've not tried using a small cast iron style pan or dish, I'm a bit hesitant because they are heavy, thick and absorb, hold, and radiate a lot of heat, my concern is that they may overheat the oven. I've played it safe and use thinner metal cake pans, sheets, loaf pans, and bowls. I have not tried shiny aluminum pans (cheap pie pans), so I'm not sure if those are safe to use or not. Love this toaster, it has so many settings for your every need. It is so easy to use. It heats up very quickly. Great size too so i dont have to use my oven. The first 3 times I have used it, it worked perfectly! But on the 4th try it burnt all my sublimation cups. No matter how low I got on the dial, still burnt them. Going to invest in a separate thermometer and see if that works.
