I got this based on the reviews I read. Some people said it wasn't that loud and others said it was very loud. This fridge is VERY LOUD. It seems to come on every 5-6 minutes. At first I brushed it off as white noise. But after awhile, yes, it's loud and annoying. I don't think I would recommend this to anyone, unless it's in a place where the family isn't.
