I appreciate that it states "latex-free" as I am allergic to latex. The block is very light weight, yet supportive. The strap is long enough for use by us tall people. Unlocking Poses and Patience One Block at a Time Yoga and I have a complicated relationship. I love the idea of flowing gracefully through poses, finding inner peace, and achieving pretzel-like flexibility. The reality, however, often involves wobbling precariously, straining to reach the floor, and generally feeling less like a serene yogi and more like a confused flamingo. I knew props could help, but for a while, I resisted, thinking they were for "real" yogis. Boy, was I wrong. Adding this Gaiam Yoga Block to my practice has been a revelation, proving that sometimes, a little bit of foam is all you need to unlock a whole new level of possibility. This block is deceptively simple. It's a lightweight rectangle of foam, but its impact is anything but small. The supportive, dense EVA foam provides just the right amount of firmness to lean on without feeling like a brick. The non-slip surface is a lifesaver – whether my hands are a little sweaty or I'm trying a tricky balance pose, it stays put, giving me the confidence I need to explore my limits. The beveled edges are a thoughtful touch, making it comfortable to grip and use in various positions. Using this block has allowed me to access poses that felt impossible before.
