Worked as I expected it to. I don't know what to write here as RAM working isn't usually something to be exceptionally exuberant about. The price was quite nice though, as I ordered 2 of these and it didn't dawn on me until I got my PC running that I now had 16GB of ram. I opted to just keep the extra even though I only intended to run 8GB total. I plugged it into my ASUS Z-97A Motherboard and it worked 1st try without issue. Has held up to stress tests and performed well in High Performance Gaming scenarios, which is what I bought it for. ... show more

    • Great RAM
I have a gaming pc with the following specs: GTX 460 GC Overclocked AMD Phenom II x4 at 3.2Ghz 750w Antec Earthwatt psu 1 Terabyte HDD at 7.2Ghz With my old RAM, 4GB at 1066mhz, it took my pc about 30-40 seconds to boot. With this 8GB at 1600mhz, my pc now boots in 3-5 seconds. It's that big of a difference. There's been a large increase in game performance as well, especially in games with high resolution textures. Skyrim in particular got much smoother, as that game reads heavily from memory due to the inefficient lod. However, this RAM isn't for people without gaming computers. Most modern desktop motherboards that are compatible with decent processors will also be compatible with this RAM, but it's really a wasted ~$50 in anything but a gaming pc. ... show more
