  • Worked as expected. Specs were correct.
I bought these specifically because they matched the timings of my existing modules. The motherboard detected them with ease. Performance is as expected.

  • It works and fits my build.
Before I write this I feel you should know that I do build my computers but I'm not too up on the intricacies of ram and usually only marginally overclock. That being said, I opted for G.Skill sniper partially because of my CPU cooler and partially because of the track record this company has. Previously (my last build was about 7 years ago) I opted for OCZ ram but they seem to have fallen off. For the CPU cooler, this RAM is low profile enough to fit the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO (what I ended up purchasing) and the Noctua NH (which is what I was considering before I decided that I did not overclock that much). You don't need a 3rd party cpu cooler necessarily, but 3 builds ago my stock cooler couldn't handle my massive college Oblivion gaming session and fried my mobo, so I've purchased one ever since. This was also caused by not having a good case for gaming (I opted for a silent one which at the time meant no-airflow) - which I've also rectified by getting a fractal define r4 case (which I also recommend - but you can get cheaper ones that are just as good). As for 1866 over 1600, the 1866 was cheaper when I purchased so I went with that. Build Fractal Define R4 case Asus Z87-PLUS motherboard i5-4670k Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Extra fan for cooler master This Ram 250 g Samsung solid state EVO (just for C drive and the few games I play) 1tb western digital black hd (scavenged from my old build) 1tb western digital blue hd (back up) Nvidia Geforce 460se (scavenged from old build - I mostly play Oblivion, Thief, Dishonored type games so I don't need an uber graphics card). Windows 8 (took some getting used to but I now like it. Moved from XP) ... show more

  • G.Skill 2x4gig mem worked perfect
Upgraded older i7 system that had a pair of these already. New sysbd has 4 slots now and added another pair for total of 16gig. I checked sysbd mfg site and these where on the compatibility list. No complaints, no issues, worked as expected.

  • Some Dom Good Affordable RAM! :]
This is some very good 1866MHz G. Skill Uniquely Built Sniper Heat-Spreader RAM. I bought 2 for a total of 16GB for my gaming rig and now it blazes through the competition..and of course the great inter-web as well. It is some very reliable, dependable, and super fast RAM for the money. So if you're in the budget for some really fast Gaming RAM Sticks then these may be your best bet. They even work great at 1600MHz as well..and either way they still don't get too hot..just barely warm. Also..one other thing to make note of is that the mechanics used to design this RAM is really high-tech and top of the line quality engineering. You can tell just by looking under the heat-spreaders that there isn't much RAM out there like this RAM. Overall I am very satisfied with this Ram. 5 out of 5 stars! :] ... show more

  • Works great with Z77 Motherboard and many others
No Configuration needed plugged right in and worked great. But do keep in mind that some motherboards have to be O.C. to accept this 1866 speed otherwise they might run at 1600 by default so keep an eye on that Make sure you handle with care and ground yourself when installing try only touching the edges/sides and top to avoid static shock... Even if you don't believe it, static can cause instability and other issues with computers and this has been proven highly recommend this item or the larger 16GB version instead of this one, Amazon also has this item for sell as well and the larger 16GB size too. ... show more

  • Great sticks, low profile, great speeds
G.Skill has always been the best price/performance brand out there. The Sniper series appealed to me because it's low profile and black, and I found the red and blue ripjaws and the like to be pretty ugly, and lower speeds. This kit for 1866 (with XMP enabled on the motherboard) is fast, looks great and is low profile enough that it doesn't cause issues with large coolers (I have a hyper 212 EVO). One thing to note, I couldn't tell by the picture but the black heat-spreader actually has an imprint of a rifle on it. You can only tell up close, but interesting nonetheless. ... show more

  • Speedy Ram
I got this RAM a few day ago for my gaming PC upgrade, it has sped up my PC exponentially! At first I thought it was just ram but these go far beyond mere RAM sticks, these are like the roadrunner keeping my system running faster than all my friends. The packaging is not very padded by itself but amazon protected it well during shipping. Over all this product is worth every cent, even if you are doing a budget built these are defiantly worth what you pay for and maybe more. ... show more
