Description

What does 5% window tint look like from the outside? Can you see out of 5 percent window tint? The main difference is the adhesive. Static cling window tint adheres using static cling, making it easier to install and remove without residue and ideal for temporary solutions like renters. Traditional tints have a glue layer which may require professional installation and removal. Our static cling window film obscures the view from the outside, providing you and your family with a sense of privacy. For renters, static cling window tint film is an ideal choice for creating a more comfortable, private, and energy-efficient living space without the limitations of permanent modifications. Our window film comes in various shades and styles, allowing you to achieve the desired aesthetic for your car. Our window tint can be easily removed without any leftover glue residue, allowing for flexible shading options. A 5% window tint means that only 5% of visible light can pass through the window, while 95% of light is blocked. This is an extremely dark tint, often referred to as “limo tint”, because it provides maximum privacy and glare reduction. Static cling window tint is a type of window film that adheres to windows without the need for adhesive. It adheres due to the natural properties of the film and the smooth glass surface, creating a vacuum-like seal similar to a suction cap. Static cling film will not have bubbles with proper installation. The only time static cling tint has bubbles is when there is air trapped between the film and glass. Simply peel that part off, spray solution, and squeegee from the center to the edge to remove all air bubbles! To prevent the window film from becoming blurry, start by thoroughly cleaning the glass to remove dust, oil, and debris before application. Use a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles and excess moisture for a clear, even finish. If the film appears hazy, allow it to settle for a few days, as trapped moisture will naturally evaporate. NOTE: Installation kit and tint solution are NOT INCLUDED in the package, please purchase a kit if you don't have one. Step 1: Clean the window thoroughly. Spray the mixed solution and use the scraper to remove dirt if needed. Step 2: Measure the width and height of windows. Cut the film accordingly. You can leave 1 inch on length and width to ensure you cover the entire window. The excess can be trimmed after installation. Step 3: Make sure the glass is clean. Spray the film and window with a solution and place the film onto the window. Slide the film and make sure it covers all edges of the window. Step 4: Spray the film with solution. Start to squeegee from the center of the window to all edges. Be sure to apply firm pressure to ensure all solution is removed. Step 5: To trim the excess film, firmly press down on the edge of the window using a cutting stick and trim the excess film with a trimming knife. Repeat step 3 to finish the installation and ensure all solution is removed from under the film. Wrap a paper towel around the squeegee and use it to squeegee out the water. This ensures the paper towel absorbs any remaining solution, preventing it from leaking back in. Tip: If there's dirt under the film, you can slightly peel off the film to clean the surface and repeat the above steps. • Please keep cutting knife out of reach of children. • In case application solution comes in contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. • Do not use suction cup on window for 48 hours.

  • Nice product
Size: 36" x 212"
I bought the darkest one but it's still easy to see through. Effectively blocks much of the sun coming in through the windows. Fairly easy to install. I recommend using a box cutter and a yard stick. It adheres nicely, but is also easy to take off.

  • Tips and I want to buy more!
Size: 36" x 82"
This tint film is static cling, not adhesive, so it is thicker and more stretchy/rubbery by design. Its not meant to be traditional automotive tint. It is hard to cut without the correct tools such as scissors or scalpel-type knife. It is also not for use on dual or triple pane window glass. This tint can cause one pane to heat up, heating the gas inside the pane chamber causing cracks and damaging seals. It is also not for use on vinyl/plastic windows you see on some convertibles, offroad vehicle door tops, etc. as heat exposure will cause the materials to interact. However, this tint is great for single-pane glass use, and for cutting pieces for temporary use like many of the suction cup style sunshades would be used. I use it solely for extra tint on already-factory-tinted windows for additional shade for rear passengers, and for a workshed with single-pane windows and it has been amazing! ... show more

  • Easy to install and a great product!
Size: 36" x 212"
This is a great product and I am ordering enough to finish the other windows in my house. I will give a few lessons to make things easier and hopefully you won't have to experience the same lessons. - Use a spray bottle of water with just a few drops of soap to wet the window prior to install. I have seen others recommend solutions but this is just as good. I will say if you think the window is wet enough, it's not. Go ahead and spray some more. With enough solution on the glass, you can slide and position where this is impossible if it's too dry. - Cut the film a little on the large side. I added an 1/8" to each side to give a little leeway. You can go back and trim this after it's dry. - Let the window dry overnight, and then go back and trim and push fully into the cornets of the windows. When it's still wet, it won't adhere all the way into the corners. If you come back and check the next day it won't be a problem. All in all, it's highly recommended and I will definitely purchase again! I will say the installation kit is nice, but if you have the equipment to do it it's not mandatory. The small squeegee was very nice though! ... show more

  • Waste of money.

The foil is very thick and does not stay on the glass even after careful preparation.

  • So Dark Birds Five Feet Away Can't See Me
Size: 24" x 120"
Easy to apply, incredibly dark but easy to see out of during the day. Of course at night if the inside lights are on it is easy to see in and hard to see out but if you use this to filter sun or reduce heat from the sun it is fantastic. On my basement windows so no light at night to worry about. The only trouble I had was trimming it to fit the window. The material is very thick and even using new razor blades I could not get an edge that didn't tear a little. From the outside you can't tell just a little from the inside. ... show more

  • Very good product 2 thumbs up
Size: 24" x 120"
This product worked great cuts easy and aslong as you use alot of soapy water it will slap right on and dosent bubble up but please please please clean the heck out of your windows first use a razor blade if theres any impurities because this gives you just enough to do a full glass/back window (ford F350 in my case) and the 2 passanger windows. Maybe some left over to redo a window if you mess up. Dont let it stick to itself either when you remove it to try and apply it its a (CLING ON NO GLUE) SO STATIC ATTRACTS!!! but if it does get stuck just use soap and water it was easy and i had mine installed in 30-40 mins take your time and have fun yall. ... show more
