my dog likes to be outside but is really reactive to strangers coming to our apartment complex. plus he likes to eat grass. i was able to lay a beach towel down to prevent grass eating and towels on the panels so he can’t see people entering the complex which helps with his anxiety and fear reactivity. the playpen was a great solution. everything came in great condition. the material is of medium weight not heavy duty at all which i had mixed feelings about. each panel is very light which is probably for portability. i was able to lean on it when i was hanging out with him in there. it was really easy to set up. i’m glad i didn’t go any higher than 32” height. for reference, he’s a 20 lbs boston terrier and on his hind legs he was still a few inches shorter than the panels. i debated between 8 panels and 16 panels because of the price break for the larger set but the 8 panels were perfect for my current needs and i can expand in the future. i’d also recommend purchasing the bag (it was a hard decision because of the price) as i was storing the panels in the box it came in and it was awkward to move around and the stakes kept falling out of the box. the reason i gave it four stars is the paint chips really easily and mixed feelings of sturdiness (i had high expectations lol). i’ve used it twice and the paint is already chipping. i can spray paint as needed. overall, it’s a nice looking play pen, expandable, and portable. time will tell with durability. ... show more

We have a pet bunny who we take camping with us. We hated keeping her in the trailer all day so I went looking and found this little fence. It’s always 50/50 on how an Amazon purchase will go. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to put together and take apart. The rod idea is great and made it super simple. My kids can do this without a grown up. Just watch for punched fingers, but they did send a set of gloves for safety. We started smaller and by the end of the trip had used all the panels for more space for her. She loved being outside and being with us. Plenty of space for 2 kids ages 10-12 to sit in there with her for snuggles. Would love to see some sort of stretchy sun shade for fitting over it as an accessory. We would use it and I’m sure it would be helpful for other small pet owners who use it. We have a lot of hawks around our home so an old craft sheet became our sunshade but wasn’t not attractive 😂 Fairly sturdy but not sure how secure it would be for tipping for a larger pet even with the stakes. It’s perfect for small pets or well behaved non-jumpers. My kids loved the little gated worked smoothly and less trip hazard trying to lift your leg over the top. Definitely recommend! ... show more

I have both the 40 inch high and the 50 inch high. I love them for my semi permanent application. I am an older woman and am able to erect this myself. I use garden stakes to brace it. I zip tie everything together. I have some against a lattice enclosure around my patio that proved too short to contain my Frenchie who is a real acrobat. I have them tied together and it's working great. Cannot say how long it might last without rusting as I put the first set up a little over a month ago. Only thing I don't like is now I feel like I am in jail, but I know my dog is going to be safely contained and that's what matters. ... show more

I recently moved into a new home and the city requires permits for all fences over 3 feet. I have 3 dogs and we finally have a backyard, I could never refuse them their playtime. Since we just paid our down payment/mortgage, we couldn't afford to pay for a new professional fence (or the permitting) so we got this as a temporary substitution. This playpen fencing is amazing. My husband was able to put it together in one afternoon. We bought enough to line three sides of the backyard with a few pieces to spare, with the back wall of the house acting as the fourth wall. We then lined the outside of the pen area with bamboo fencing from Lowe's to create a visual block so the dogs wouldn't be too tempted by neighborhood dogs. We just attached those with zipties to the playpen fence and they haven't budged. So far, the dogs love running in their new yard and have had no issues with jumping the fence or knocking it over, despite one of them being a notorious jumper. Delivery was quicker than originally quoted. The package was VERY heavy, but we made it work. Overall, a great fence. I probably won't need to buy another one, but I would recommend it to someone else if they were in a similar situation. ... show more

I was very happy with this dog playpen. The packaging was great- you could tell it was packed very carefully. The individual gates are nice and very easy to put together. I am going to use the gates in different parts of the house to block our puppy away from stairs and other areas. The poles that put the gates together have a point on the bottom that would be helpful outside but may cause scratches on our hardwood floor so I may need to put something on the bottom of them or prevent that. I have only had this a few days but so far I’ve am very pleased and would recommend it. ... show more

These gates were just what I needed for my dog when we go camping! Unfortunately my guy does not do well with other strange dogs and I hated having to restrain him on a leash. With these he feels more included with us and had the freedom to walk around without getting all tangled up on a lead and they also gave me piece of mind keeping my three year old grandson contained when taking him on camping trips with us. We bought 4 sets to go in front of our 42 ft trailer so he has plenty of room to roam around. We also purchased the handles for each set for easy transfer and keeping them together (I highly recommend the handles). The set is lightweight, durable and simple to install.
