I was unable to get any feedback on compatibility with drinking water, so I only use the water for washing dishes. I turned the temperature to the max and it is almost too hot to touch, but my wife likes it there. I measured it at 120 degrees. The first drops that come out are hot, but it drops from there. After a gallon, the temperature is 110. But it recovers the temperature quickly. So if you don't mind the variation in temperature, this will work fine. I only use a gallon to wash dishes and I don't mind. None of the other 2.5 gallon water heaters fit under my sink. ... show more

I set this unit up using removable attachments, so that when it comes time to check the anodes (?), I can just easily unhook the unit to do the removal. The instruction manual is very well done and the unit appears to function as advertised. Well built, it seems compared to cheaper products available. Works well for workshop use in winter. Water temp gets to about 125F with the dial set at the middle. Relief valve does leak a bit if you ever move the lever. Otherwise it has been trouble free so far for three months.

It heats up the water! it has a variable control and a small digital display Opened the box and the unit was a little dirty but it was all there, and for the price we paid was good, when you take into account it came with pipes to attach it to the system (as long as you have the right connectors on your end) the pipes would normally add $40 It will hang on the wall with a bracket provided and it will turn upside down if you want the outlets to come out the bottom, great if your mounting it over the tap height and it gives instructions on how to do this. ... show more
