My husband has multiple herniated lower discs due to multiple dirt bike injuries and other xreme adranaline dumb things boys do when they're young , it's ALL caught up to him now! Which causes a lot of pain and discomfort. Aside from all the physical therapy, pain management and medication. Surgery being the very last thing he wants to resort to. This belt actually helps ease the pain especially on the days when literally throws his back out and he's usually out for a few days. He said stuff a little uce pack in between the belt and it takes a lot if the pressure off. We've wasted $170 on the "Dr. Ho" belt. which absolutely did not do the job that this futuro belt does for a very very small fraction of the price. This is the second one he's purchased. The first one we bought at target but since they no longer had it I found it here in amazon for a great price! A good product! Totally recommend it. ... show more

I had bought this back brace a number of years ago and decided to buy a new one so that I could have a spare one. I have persistsnt lower back pain and this brace really gives me relief from the pain. I highly recommend it.

I specify this is a woman's review because of the fit of this brace. I think it may fit a man better than a woman. I think women's hips are wider on average than men's. The lumbar section keeps slipping up on me. Even with the adjustable laces and Velcro straps, I have to keep pushing the back of the brace down so that the lumbar support is in the proper place. I think it would definitely work better for slimmer hipped folks -- male or female. Also, I do not suggest putting this back support on your bare skin. Big time itchy Velcro holding the lumbar supports in place -- incredibly uncomfortable and scratchy. Be nice if Futuro redesigned this particular support with a woman's specific physiology in mind (i.e., wider area across lower-back and top of the buttocks where the lumbar support is needed). A female friend purchased this support a the same time I did and she had the same complaint -- constantly having to push the brace down in the back to reposition the lumbar support. There's simply no way to position the support so that it stays in place even with all the straps, adjustable laces and the Velcro. ... show more
