So I bought this for my Golden guard cosplay in 2021(or 2022?? Not sure tbh), which I wore to the Scarborough ren fest. I have no regrets choosing this cloak. I really wanted to pick a nice looking one since hunters clothes are likely expensive, being that he’s in the emperors coven, “nephew” of the emperor and all, but all the other ones I could find looked fairly thin or cheap. So I decided to buy this one even though it didn’t come in white, and just use fabric paint on it. It got stuff from the paint, naturally, but it still looks great and is perfect for the what I needed it for. It’s also very comfy which is always nice haha. I do wish it came in more colors, especially white. I also think in might be short for a taller person. I’m 5”1 so this worked fine for me, but it might be too short for someone 5”5 or taller depending on what your using it for. Overall, awesome cloak, super comfy and high quality, well made etc. I will definitely buy more in the future for more ren fairs and cosplays ... show more

I got this for a cosplay and truly wasn't really expecting such a high quality product for the price. This cloak is thick, warm, and well made. It looks amazing as part of my cosplay. Forgot to account for my arms being INSIDE the cape when puzzling over the width measurement, especially as someone who hasn't worn anything "small" in decades. So it's probably meant to be a bit more roomy than I actually have, but thanks to the style of wear it works out. 😅 The hem along the center edge is oddly wide and not secured, but it does leave open the possibility of adding embellishments like embroidery or sewn on decorative cording and then interfusing it down to protect any added stitching. I also expect I'll remove the buttons and connecting fabric closure, which seem larger than the photo, in favor of something more decorative. That having been said, the material is light, moves easily, and the backing feels more like a lining so it's nice and smooth. This purchase was a leap of faith. I love the way it look and the fact that is a piece that can be use on a daily basis as well as part of a costume. Yo can't ever tell for certain if garments purchase online will feel as quality material despite the descriptions. In this case I was lucky, it feels nice and looks very good.     • Similar in look but not as good as it used to be
A couple of years ago I purchased a navy blue cloak from this listing, and it was absolutely perfect. High quality through and through. I went to the same listing and decided to get the black one too, and when I received it it was very light weight and much different in quality. The material is thin and I can see light through it. It is now lined with a lower quality fabric which is shiny and very synthetic. The cut appears to be similar but these are not the same cloaks that used to be sold at this listing. The price stayed the same but the quality did not. UPDATE 4/30/2023: the blue came back in stock and as I figured, the quality is much lower than it was a few years ago. Unlined acrylic material that light easily shines through. Shoulders are now way too narrow as it's no longer offered in XL+ sizes. Color is good but the opening is also a sharper cut now.     • This would be a good for a child's costume, nothing more.
I have been looking for a cape/cloak to wear during cool days that isn't crappy costume quality and, from the reviews, pictures, description, and sizing info, I thought this product would be perfect. Basically, I was looking for a cape/cloak I would wear in place of a light hoodie. I didn't expect this to be serious winter-wear. It took over a month to arrive and I had to pay for shipping, which was annoying, but okay. It arrived late last week and as soon as I picked up the package, I knew I'd been duped just based on the size and weight of the envelope, which felt more like a single T-shirt than anything. I unfolded it inside my pretty dimly lit living room and the material is so cheap that you can see light shining through it. It is barely the same material weight as a cheap T-shirt. The style looks barely like the photo - reminded me of a Wish.com expectations vs reality meme. I tried it on, hoping I was wrong, and it runs WAY smaller than advertised. It barely fit over my shoulders, the arm holes only worked if I held my arms like a velociraptor (which IS tempting), and it's cheap, rough material. Lastly, it barely hit me at the hip, when it is supposed to hit mid-thigh or thereabouts. I am not a large person, and I have been reading sizing charts and correctly choosing a size for myself for as long as there has been a way to order clothes online. This product is a cheap joke and I have no use for it. For $50 after shipping and tax, this was a waste of time and money, and now I have to pay shipping to return it so I can get a partial refund. This would probably be pretty cool for like a 10-12 year old child to play dress up or use as a costume, but this is worthless if you're just trying to be a little warm and business-casual witchy. ... show more

This cloak is made of quality. Doesn't feel cheap at all! It runs a bit big so maybe go a size smaller. I had to return this one but it's only because I wanted to buy another hoodie from them.
