I love this mannequin head. The hair is just like mine so when I practice in it it's a much more realistic practice. The hair is so soft and there's a lot of hair. There is a hit of shedding but not a ton. It's to be expected with the type of hair. The hair came very matted I had to wash and condition it and comb it. Thw type of hair it forces you to be gentle inst2ad of treating it like straight weave. The mount is not the best but it works good enough for my needs. The hair also takes product really well and it washes well. I absolutely love it. So glad I found a mannequin with kinky/curly hair. I wouldn't say it's for beginners because the hair is kinky so it' requires much more patience and skill but at the same time most of us learn how to practice on our own hair. I'm a beginner but I'm patient and learn fast. For a beginner I wpuld recommend a straight hair mannequin first then move to one with kinky hair because it requires more TLC.

I liked that the hair was easy to part and I was able to get a lot of straight parts. The item I received doesn’t really look the picture that is shown. The hair texture is realistic and is what I was looking for, but it does shed quite a bit more than I would like.

One of the worst mannequins I’ve ever bought. It sheds what feels like 50% of the hair during the first wash and continues to shed like crazy every time you touch it. It also doesn’t feel like real human hair — it’s either been highly mixed with synthetic hair or extremely poor quality human hair. Definitely not worth it.
