    • Beautiful product, easy assembly
Delivery of the product was as expected - two boxes came, each quite heavy but manageable by a grown man. Makes sense to get some help if you need to move them, though. The product was well-protected inside the boxes, so even though one of the boxes had some shipping damage the bed frame came out of it unscathed and simply beautiful. Assembly was done in a carpeted room, which is really a necessity since you'll be moving these nicely-finished but fairly large pieces around to assemble. If you are putting into a room with tile or wood floor, I strongly recommend placing a rug or other soft material before starting the assembly. I did the work by myself which was really only possible because of the superb assembly design with slots, dowel pins, bolts, and embedded nuts. Most people will probably want another set of hands but I didn't have any serious difficulty following the directions provided. A recommendation: Get yourself a power screwdriver (or drill) with hex bit - you'll hate using that small Allen wrench on the assembly bolts. The most difficult part is installing the side rails between the headboard and footboard. Since the headboard and footboard have to be upright when installing the railings, it can be just a little tricky getting all the parts to cooperate. This is the one part where another person would be a big benefit. After the side rails are installed the final step is to screw in the support boards with center-support legs. The instructions do not tell you this, but you'll likely find the legs do not reach the floor especially if they are screwed in tightly next to the support boards. A call to Furniture of America support confirmed that the legs can be just partially screwed in - this leaves a much smaller gap to the floor and thus less sag in the support boards once you add the box springs and mattress. (I would have preferred longer legs were provided, though - when the legs were initially screwed in all of the way the gap to the floor was about a full inch, and it just doesn't feel right to only partially screwing in the bolt.) This bed was very easy to set up, sturdy and we love the color, looks better than the picture shown. We were a little worried because of a few of the reviews, but we had no issues at all! It looks fabulous in our bedroom. Very satisfied with our purchase.

    • Very frightening to sleep in this bed!
This is a very cheap and dangerous product. The side rail just split in two and the bed is totally unstable and dangerous. Not to mention as two elderly people we have no way of repairing it so the bed is useless and we're afraid to sleep in it. It was on my husband's side of the bed and he only weighs 145# so there wasn't too much weight on it. It was really quite terrifying for both of us. Making a support piece out of cheap particle board instead of wood is criminal. ... show more

For the price it’s well designed. And for a guest room it’s fine. The only problem was that they shipped king size supporters (for the mattress ) for a queen size bed. We were able to cut them down. But it was annoying and took time.

The headboard and footboard arrived one day and the frame a couple of days later. Not a big deal. The bed was easy to assemble and is proving to be very sturdy. It is also as attractive as I thought it would be. It was a good purchase.

it took me my father and my brother to assemble it(2-6 hours ). It looks great, but I feel like the build quality kind of sucks some parts did not lineup properly. The sides did not feel sturdy at all. We were debating on returning it, but we had already thrown away the boxes and stuff so really wasn’t an option.
