I haven’t tried the wood putty yet but I did try a few of the wood markers. I used the walnut on some darker wood and I used the bamboo on my honey oak trim. If you have light oak don’t use the pen that says oak! It’s too dark for light oak (it’s dark brown!) Use the bamboo on light colored honey oak. The markers worked pretty well. They help to hide or camouflage any imperfections- scrapes or scratches. I am pretty pleased with the markers, they didn’t have any strong chemical smells that these kind of markers sometimes have so I was happy about that. This seems to be a nice quality set and I’m glad to have the variety of different colored wood pens. I am excited to try the wood putty too. ... show more

I just spent the last couple days walking around my house looking for, and fixing, all of the little scuffs, chips, and marks on my wood furniture. This product is amazing, especially for the price. I took a few pictures, but nothing looked as good as it does in person. You'll just have to trust me, that it's easy to use, and covered all the nicks and marks easily, although I hope I don't need to continue using it LOL. We got this kit to repair a spot on our laminated kitchen floor.. We have a large wooden bench in the kitchen and discovered it was leaving wear marks on the floor from being slid back and forth at the table ...it didn't gouge the wood..just rubbed the color off...and this kit has several wood shade markers that made it easy to draw the wood grain lines over the bare spots to make the floor look better and make the spots less noticeable, and it a road perfectly... The kit also includes colored wood putty and tools to apply it as well as gloves and sand paper....its a good complete kit for repairing small imperfections on wood surfaces. ... show more
