The main material- particleboard is made from recycled materials of rubber trees, . All the materials are manufactured in Malaysia and comply with the green rules of production. There is no foul smell, durable and the material is the most stable amongst the particleboards. A simple attitude towards lifestyle is reflected directly on the design of Furinno furniture, creating a trend of simply nature. All the products are produced and packed 100-percent in Malaysia with 90Percent - 95Percent recycled materials. Care instructions: wipe clean with clean damped cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. It's up and holding. They recommend 2 people, I put it together alone and instead of 20 min took about 35 min since the space I was in wasn't very big. But I like it so far especially the how the sides are wider since my TV is a 55" it doest look cramped to me. I gave 4 only because one of the poles looks kinda crooked. It didn't take me too long to assemble this tv stand but I sure wish manufacturers would supply better instructions for assembling their products. There were a few times I was hung up on the "directions" thanks to the poor quality of the instructions. The tv stand itself seems sturdy enough for my needs. it's holding a 43 inch tv with zero trouble and I have pictures on the other shelves below it. Assembly is fairly easy that one person can do it alone. Doesn't weigh much at all. Brings everything you need even provides extra screws. Be careful when putting some of the screws in and make sure you line it up correctly. I unfortunately didn't line one up properly and it scratched and peeled the wood on one end making it look a bit tacky, but that's not the items fault. I did not use this product for an entertainment center but as shelves for my cat to climb on and keep her food dish out of reach of the dog. I covered the shelves with felt and my cat loves it!
