I bought 5 of these to create a bookshelf wall. The first 4 units were easy to assemble. All parts included (no extras) and the material was clean, straight, and undamaged. All holes aligned perfectly. Until the 5th unit. Yikes. One broken screw could not be used and I didn't have the same size at home so had to figure most strategic place to miss a screw. Then the stabilizing bolt lock broke. I'm not that strong but it just shattered. Then I noticed a big scratch in the bottom support piece which of course was on the front facing side. Bummer. 4 out of 5 were stellar and my bookshelf wall looks amazing. ... show more

Smaller than I thought but priced to match and works for our intended purpose . Stickers to cover screws are kind of pointless because they already fell off - Plus mine didn’t come with enough to begin with. But overall it’s sturdy and assembly was easy. I just would recommend anchors as I could see this easily falling over on top of our daughter. Will function well for young children but I wouldn’t recommend this for adults as it’s pretty small. ... show more

I was surprised at the weight of this shelf - heavy! I put it together myself with a screwdriver (I can't find my drill). All the pieces fit perfectly and the pre-drilled holes all lined up (a definite plus!!). Purchased for use in my sewing room - I believe it will be perfect! Also, you can position it horizontally or vertically, depending upon your space. Sturdy. Appears to be ready to paint, if needed - finish isn't great and nicks easily. Not a biggie for me. I feel this was a great buy and I am happy!!! (I did look up assembly instructions online for just a bit of additional info) ... show more

Horrible quality. Arrived with multiple shelves scratched and one of the provided pegs punctured through particle board during assembly, exposing chipboard. Structural failure makes shelf unsafe for intended use. Do not recommend. “Support page” brings up a “404 error” and when I try to process a refund it wants me to ship the shelf back with a box I have to provide…. A box this size will be expensive if even possible to purchase. Save your money and a headache, and buy a different shelf. ... show more

    • Smell lingers and makes my throat sore

This is an inexpensive cabinet so I expected the quality I received. I was able to put it together pretty easily however the instructions to install the back panel was off so I did it the way I thought was better. The thing that made me give it 3 stars is the smell. I have had this for almost 2 months and I can't get rid of the smell. I took it outside on a few sunny days and left it in the garage to allow it to degas. I sprayed it with force of nature and followed up with baking soda. It didn't get better after over a month of letting it degas. When it is in my room I wake up with a sore throat. I bought this to store my yarn but any yarn that sits on this for more than 2 hours smells like the cabinet. I am afraid it is probably due to the formaldehyde or something with the engineered particle board. Even though this was the perfect size I sadly can't keep it. BTW I have a Closetmaid drawer cabinet and Winsome Halifax Storage Mobile Cabinet and don't have a problem with those. Not sure where they are getting the materials from but just be warned it smells. ... show more

You get what you pay for! I bought this when it was on sale, and haven’t been able to find anything near the same price. You can see my original review below, but I kept the bookshelf together and put it on a carpeted surface and anchored it to the wall. I now love the bookshelf so much I bought a second and intend to buy a third. It seems sturdy despite the condition it arrived in and I haven’t had anymore issues with chipping or scratches. (Old review)The packaging was in great condition, I open the box and nearly every corner is broken. Then I’m assembling the shelves anyway and 2 of the shelves are missing. I file for replacement parts and push on with the assembly and it is so wobbly. You may be thinking the unit isn’t stable because of the missing shelves, but no.. it’s because the shelves are warped and uneven. I am so disappointed in this purchase.
