Water-resistant base pet bed is manufactured with a coated polycanvas fabric to help protect the filling from weather and moisture. The padded quilted top panel zips on and off to better cater to your pet's preferred form of comfort. Don't need the top panel or just want to wash up real quick? Simply unzip to remove! Top panel also acts a pocket for cooling or heating pads! The mattress core is topped with a layer of cooling gel infused memory foam that contours to your pet's figure for improved body alignment and joint relief; the base features a medical-grade solid foam core for better support and value. The gel foam boasts cooling properties that reduce the sleep surface temperature by 1 or 2 degrees, wicking heat away from your pet to help keep them cool. Low profile, step-on design for easy access by older or disabled pets. Easy to clean. Cover care: Remove from core before washing (see seam label for fabric care instructions). Foam care: Cooling gel foam is highly absorbent. Spot clean with mild soap or enzyme-based cleaning spray. Rinse but DO NOT SOAK OR SUBMERGE. Press out moisture with a dry towel and air dry. I thought I was ordering a couple of cheap dog bed covers that *looked* nicer than thier well used dog beds, and I got them one size bigger than the beds because I was going to take my old memory foam mattress and cut it in squares to improve the dogs ever flattening dog beds. I bought 3, 2 in one style, and one in a different style. More than a month or two later, I have to say, I'm impressed. They are better than I expected but I was still wary, thinking they wouldn't hold up against 4 BIG rambunctious dogs, two of which are PUPPIES! These are really good! The dogs LOVE them. It's not just the extra padding, because I have an expensive store bought memory foam dog bed and they use the other 3 as much or more. I do have to say one of my cats claimed one in a certain spot as his, so they don't get to use that one as often, much to my shepherds dismay! So rather than throw out your old dog beds that are wearing out... maybe put two together, or get a foam mattress you can put with it for new life, because these will stand up to what your dogs dish out... and be ready to soothe them to sleep in its soft topper fabric! ... show more

We brought one of these beds a few years back but that had actual orthopedic foam my dog still has that one and she absolutely loves it! We got another one for my room and it has 100% helped her sleep, she isn’t as restless at night barely moves from the same spot all night. My only issues is that this one is egg crate foam and not orthopedic foam, so I’m not sure how well the longevity of this one will be. I’m not sure way they changed the foam material. My dog is a boxer mix and is about 95 Ibs for reference. ... show more

This dog bed cover was an experiment for us. It is priced much less than many others and is made of a vinyl type fabric. Our dogs chew up everything and more expensive dog bed covers are a waste of money because they end up in more expensive shreds. The dogs didn't chew on these for quite a while when we put them on. They did eventually start wearing them out and tears began to appear but they may be the start of getting the dogs to stop chewing. We will see. ... show more

I had originally purchased the jumbo plush orthopedic version and it has lasted about a year and a half. When I would take off the cover to wash it pieces of the top of the foam would fall off and make a mess, but even with that issue it has held up decently well for the price point. I just received the jumbo water proof version and I’ve noticed two things 1. The foam itself is thinner than the one I have purchased previously 2. The detachable cover is a different material then the rest of the cover. Seems okay overall though, I can only hope it will hold up as well as the last one. ... show more

We were hoping to find a dog bed for use outdoors that was both comfortable and durable for our dogs (ages 12 and 7 months). We found the perfect match in this Fur Haven bed. Both our older pup, who isn't as active as he used to be, and the puppy, who is super active,, took to this bed right away. The cover is durable and has been easy to clean. In two areas the sewing machine slipped off the seam allowance so the foam was revealed. It was easy to fix but seeing as the bed costs $130 I expected better quality

Larger than I expected which is ok with me. Just the right thickness. I bought this for my older (16 yr) Golden Doodle to sleep on as she has trouble with her hips and was having a rough time getting off the floor. Now both my dogs sleep on it. Needed a replacement cover for the dog bed after the puppy destroyed the other. She even loves this cover more. Love that it's water proof and seems well made. The waterproof canvass one is kinda loud when she walk or move on it... but that's a small price to pay for durability.
