Like many others, I bought this for a feral cat that has become my shadow. Added this to the insulated house built just for him. He hasn't said one way or the other as to how well it works. All I know is he stays in his house and comes out looking warm even with below freezing temps

I took in a frightened cat and he would hide in the garage. It was cold out there so I put this pad n a place that was comfy for him and it kept him very warm. Now he has moved into the house but I keep the pad there in case he gets scared. Great buy.

It took my kitty a day to warm up to it. I put it on my couch next to me and once she checked it out, she curled up on it. Now she always jumps up and lays there when I watch TV at night. It fits inside the cat house perfectly, the cats just don't go inside that area. I had to buy something to keep the dog out of the cat food as it's not good for her. So I bought this, the cat house. They use the area where food is, but don't go inside the cave part.
