Got this when our GSD was almost 2yo. She's now 3-1/2, weighs about 85 lbs, and is built tall and lean, with long legs, so she takes up most of this bed. She LOVES her bed. She snuggles into it at nap time and sleeps through the night. She rests her head on the bolster, she stretches out, she rolls over on her back and sticks her legs straight out into the air, she curls up practically into a donut shape, and she jumps onto it and flops down -- and it still looks great. No sagging or loose threads or worn fabric. Shepherds shed all year round so it gets vacuumed every other day, which can tend to cause wear and tear, but this bed is holding up very well. She looks adorbable as well as comfortable on her bed. We had a GSD before we got her, but didn't get an orthopedic bed for him until he was already slowing down from joint issues later in life. So she got one as soon as she stopped teething. It's paid off bigtime. I highly recommend this big dog bed for your big dog, even if he or she is still a pup and has to grow into it. ... show more

This is not our first FurHaven Classic Dog Bed. We've always purchased the Jumbo size for our 82 lb shepherd. but this brown one....well, it's a bit smaller. 2"-3" in length, 2" in depth. And the cushions don't seem to fit as well inside of the fabric cover (which remains the weakest part of the design if you have a dog who like to dig/gnaw/bite fabric or stuffs). It's a good bed if you can pick up an Amazon Warehouse Deal/Very Good-Like New. But otherwise, it's a bit pricey for what you get. ... show more

I ordered the quilted dog bed in hopes that it would hold up well to our 11 year old Carolina Dog's nesting habits. He really loves having a cozy spot now that he is getting older and the hard floor makes him stiff. Unfortunately, the bed only held up for 5 days before I noticed small holes in the fabric from his nesting attempts. I decided to reach out to the company about it directly and proceeded to receive the very best customer service I've ever experienced!! The customer support agent responded to my email within a few minutes and asked for a picture of the damaged bed and a screenshot showing my Amazon purchase. They were extremely understanding of my desire to give our old boy a bed that would last and rather than just offering to replace it with the same bed, they went above and beyond and offered me a different bed entirely that is a new model they just released (a bit more expensive too) and is specifically made for nesting dogs and asked if I'd like to try it instead. I jump at the opportunity and gave them my shipping info. This all happened in a single day of communication back and forth with them. They are very prompt. Today the new bed, in my color and size of choice, arrived at my door at no extra cost to me whatsoever. It is very well made. It has an attached but loose blanket like piece on the sleeping area that allows nesting dogs to move it around to their liking without damaging the fabric. The foam is thicker on this bed as well and will support him even better than the other bed. I'm so thankful for their kindness and care for us and our pup. I bought this bed for my 12ish year old girl Clara, who I adopted from a Bichon rescue. Tried many other beds before deciding on this one. My 16 year old Puggle has one of the donut ones which he loves, but I wanted something more supportive for her. She has trouble walking, is blind and honestly doesnโ€™t hear all that well either, lol. But boy, does she know how to relax! Before this bed, she preferred an old shag rug we have in front of the doggie door. She would drag it into the living room and arrange it just right before lying on it. This seemed pathetic to me, so I ordered this adorable bed and plopped her on it at nap time (which is all the time for her, ha). At first she would go back to the stupid rug, but soon I noticed her going over to this bed all by herself! She especially likes to rest her head against the sides and now, she sleeps all night in it. I got the medium and she's about 17 pounds (a big boned girl). I havenโ€™t washed the cover yet but it removes for easy laundering. Great price too. Pure perfection, finally! ... show more

Product came crammed in too small box. The filler material, 2 pieces of egg shell foam and a pathetically thin bumper were in a plastic bag. The materal that constiture the outside of the bed was folder and stuffed in the box as well. It was very unimpressive in terms of the quality of the filler material. I paid for a fully assembled product, not a build a bed project. This might be just a one off major screwup, because I didn't see any comments in the reviews to even alluded to similiar circumstances. In any case, they lost a sale as I am returning and am not inclined to try any of their products. Caveat Emptor. ... show more

I, first, want to say this bed is HUGE. I initially bought this bed for my 3 dogs. As you can see from the pics, I have a wild sleeper who kicks and pushes in his sleep. Unfortunately, I recently lost my 16 yo man, so I still decided to keep the bed for my remaining 2 babies (esp since I didn't want to torture my 14 yo with wild man). As soon as I opened the bed they took to it. But soon after, my wild man decided to leave his mark...several times. In trying to remove the cover, I'm just noticing one of zippers is broke. Unfortunately, I received this bed during a out of city move, so I'm now a couple weeks out of the return period. While my dogs as well as myself really enjoy this bed (the size, the side pillows, the comfortability so far, color, fast shipment), I recommend everyone to thoroughly inspect their bed upon receipt, including small things like the zippers. (SN: Please excuse my bed on the floor. Moving challenges...๐Ÿ˜ค) UPDATE: Amazon allowed me to return the bed after the return date for a new one. Yay! In this exchange, I learned something new. Even after the return cutoff date, Amazon will still accept returns; however, the return price decreases day by day so it's best to contact them asap. ... show more
