I have four dogs and three of them are senior dogs. Meaning, they need a bed that doesn't go straight to the floor when they get on them. This one is supportive, and keeps those sweet old bones comfortable and supported. Even when they sit on them, they are still very much off the floor. If you need an 'orthopedic" bed, this is one of those too. I only have one dog that digs on his bed, and thusly destroys the cover on this eventually, but it takes him over a year to do it, so I rotate the beds. My girl's is perfect, and the other two may show a little wear (but not much) so I give my destroyer of beds one of the old ones, and give my girl the new one. I've done this for years with these beds. I don't even think about looking for another one, I just click on "buy again" when it's time. One more thing I wanted to add. I read some say they tear up in the wash, so please heed this. It's the spin cycle that tears them up. After they wash and rinse, let them spin for just a minute to get some of the wetness out, and then put them in the sun to dry. You can throw them in the dryer if you want, but I like to take care of mine, and I have put them in the dryer at times and they were fine, but I mostly let them air dry, then throw in the dryer for a few minutes. Putting them back together is not difficult either. It's easier for me to put the bed part in first, then do the sleeves last. They use the rolled part for a pillow. Just one more thing.... all four of my dogs absolutely love these beds. Their beds are their 'safe place' too, and they go to their beds throughout the day to rest, and get away from the crowd. : ) They all go to their assigned beds at night, but in the day they do "musical beds" and sleep in each other's beds. I don't know why. I don't write a low of reviews anymore, but I wanted to share with you how much I, and my dogs, love these beds. Plus, they are attractive! So... I have two 65 lb. Pittie’s and they generally don’t tear things up that aren’t meant to be torn up. Dog toys and such have a short shelf life, but outside of the puppy stage the furniture and most items around the house are safe. For that reason, I thought the two new Furhaven beds I bought them were safe. Nope, for some unknown reason I was gone for a morning and I came home to find one shredded. Ugh. To say I was pissed is a massive understatement. I was seriously ready to kill them. They were “this close” to being... passed on! No more! Ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiffs! Bereft of life, and resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes being history! Off the twig! Kicked the bucket, and shuffled off their mortal coils, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THEY WERE THIS CLOSE TO BEING EX-PITTIES!! After a bit of yelling and screaming and putting the fear of dog in them cooler heads prevailed. It took me a couple of days to summon the energy to clean up the pieces of the bed, but in doing so realized that I just might be covered under the Furhaven “Worry-Free 60 Day Program”... and I was. I contacted Furhaven and emailed them photos of what was left of the bed and they sent me a new replacement. Thank You Furhaven. As the beds go they are really nice. I purchased two of the: Furhaven Pet Bed for Dogs and Cats - Plush and Velvet Waves Perfect Comfort Sofa-Style Cooling Gel Foam Dog Bed, Removable Machine Washable Cover - Granite Gray, Large ( Item / model number: ‎88449537) For my two 65 lb. Pitbulls these large beds are a perfect size. They easily fit one to one and a half dogs, and since my younger 5-year-old female has no concept of personal space they are often both found in one of the beds together. The quality seems fine... unless your Pitbulls are on a, ummm, tear. They are nice and soft. About the only thing I can think of, only word of advice is to maybe take them apart and wash them once a month. When the one got shredded it prompted me to wash the one that wasn’t and it was dirtier inside on the foam and cooling gel bit than I thought it would be. We have tried several different beds, and we keep coming back to this one. It's a fairly thick foam, so our older dogs like it for their joints. The puppies like anything the older dogs like. They will scratch at the bed sometimes and the fabric will wear through leaving the memory foam exposed for them to chew up. But (1) that is user error and (2) it takes a long time for them to get through them. Other beds last a matter of days. These last a couple of years. The covers can be removed for washing. It will shed some in the dryer, but does not shrink so it goes back together just fine. ... show more

Size? 5 stars. Material Quality? 3.9 stars. The cover is awesome. The insides are more flimsy than I like. Luckily my old dog bed was just a tad less in measurements. I replaced the arms with my old dog beds arms because honestly this beds arm material was too flimsy. The mattress pad was fine, but my big dogs could stand some more hearty material. I did keep the mattress it came with but I also put my old dog bed’s mattress inside alone with the one it came with. If you look at my picture you probably can tell it’s a bit bulbous. The dogs don’t care, it’s actually probably more comfy for them this way. For reference I have purchased a dog bed from PETCO for years of similar size and build that cost me 120, but the company didn’t sell replacement covers like this company does. Hopefully instead of buying a new bed every 3 years due to the cover wearing down, I will reduce my costs with this company. ... show more

My dog loves her bed… and so does my cat! My dog is a cane corso/pit bull mix (25”H x 32”L). I was worried that the bed wouldn’t be big enough, but she has plenty of room to lay down. She likes to rest her head on the side of the bed, as well. It was easy to assemble and puffed up with in a few hours. Super easy to clean as well.
