It took my dog Pillow (5 y/o female pit pointer mix rescue) a bit to understand the concept lol but now we just lift up the blanket and she goes in. We took the tent pole out because she kept thinking she was supposed to lay behind it, which cracked us up every time. Pillow tends to destroy beds quickly because she digs kind of hard when she is nesting. I’ve had this one for a few months now and it’s still good as new. My boyfriend and I even cuddle on it with her because it’s nice and big without taking up too much space in our small apartment. It also doesn’t retain hair, which is surprising because her hair is like needles and it sticks in everything. Every time a friend comes to my place they tell me they will still find Pillow hairs for weeks lol I had read through lots of reviews for other beds when shopping, even looked around at stores like Ross, Walmart, etc. and I am happy that I ended up with this gem! This bed is nice and easy to move around as its light weight. My 70lb black lab loves it along with my 98 lb yellow lab. We got it for our black lab Montana as he is a very nervous dog and likes to hide under tables or desks as he was crate trained. As 4th if July was coming up, and although fireworks are illegal in our area, they go off all night and for 2 weeks before and after the holiday. I thought it would be nice to have a little cave for him to hide in. This was sent to me without the plastic insert to make the blanket portion stand up. I reached out to the company and they were nice and worked quickly to send the missing part. Unfortunately, Montana did not understand how to use this and he just laid on top of it. I ended up taking out the rod and he uses it as a normal bed now. The foam inside is that egg carton foam, but both my dogs get plenty of use of of it though so it was worthit to me. The size it perfect for Montana as he sleeps curled up. Its a little too small for my yellow lab as he likes to stretch out, but overall a nice bed. Got this for my dog. She doesn't really go inside it unless we prompt her, which is weird because she loves to burrow, but she will lay on top of the whole thing lol. I guess we'll see if it grows on her. It is good quality and well cushioned and easy to clean.

I initially bought this bed because our puppy likes to be “tucked in” at night when we go to bed and I hoped that he would learn to do it himself with a bed like this. No such luck. He hated this bed. The cover was pretty soft but very thin and provided no warmth or insulation for him when he laid inside the bed. The foam “bed” itself was also very thin (maybe 2.5in?) even after allowing it to expand for over 24 hours before allowing him to lay on it. So overall not a comfortable bed for bigger dogs (30-50 lb.) , might work for little guys like under 20 lbs but even then the “blanket” part is so thin and provides nothing for dogs who like to burrow or be tucked in. To top it all off, my pup had an accident on this bed (probably on purpose because he hated it) and the cover provided absolutely no protection. All the urine completely soaked through leaving the cover itself almost dry and the egg crate foam underneath completely drenched. I did my best to try and soak it all up but it completely permeated the foam and kept spreading. At this point I thought, what the hell, and I threw the whole bed into the wash knowing that it probably would not survive, but I did not have many other options. I was right, the foam did not survive even a delicate cycle. The cover itself washed nicely, but only because it absorbed hardly any of the actual mess. Overall a terrible purchase and money wasted. I guess I will keep tucking my spoiled pup by hand every night. ... show more

I ordered for my two year old, 25 pound French Bulldog and he did fit, but I wish I’d gotten the bigger size for him. Since he doesn’t have a pointed nose, he’s not going under the top blanket like he does on his other beds. He falls off the foam bottom trying. And after we inserted the pole, which is so easy to do, he got in once and the bed rolled over and he didn’t like that. If you buy one, let the foam completely flatten before putting it down. We were so excited to show him the bed, we may have been the problem. We got the slippery material, not the Sherpa. Maybe he would have done it with the Sherpa. But it’s only day two so if he doesn’t figure it out in a week or so we’ll pass it on to my grand dog, he’s a Jack Russell and should love it. It’s an amazing bed, so soft.
