My dog loves this bed & so do I. She likes to be under covers when laying down but can't quite figure out how to cover herself. I cover her up. At night sometimes if she gets uncovered as he wakes us up whining because she'd want us to cover her. I saw this bed & though eureka! It has the ½ hoop in the blanket to hold it up a bit so a dog can get under & snuggle. I do believe the hoop is removable. The fabric is soft, like a microfiber. The other brand, Snoozer, has a wooly type fabric in the inside of the "cave". This looks like it will trap pet hair & snag. Other people said it sheds also. Not a issue with this bed. I've never had the other brand but from the reviews and what I saw, I made the right choice! I got this in the 35" inch size. It's the perfect size for my 60lb pitbull. If your dog is more than 65lbs I'd size up though. My dog sleeps curled up most of the time. Her head & legs will hang off if she lays straight out. So if your dog sleeps that way obviously measure their length & get the appropriate size. I've only had this bed 1 day so far so I can't speak to longevity or if the foam part of the bed sinks in. If the zippers go or anything else I will update this review. Right now the foam bed base is very firm. It's also quite thick. I like that in a dog bed. About 4" inches thick for the 35" size bed. I love that it's washable, the cover unzips. The foam has a protective liner in it to safeguard it. This bed even looks comfortable! It took t4he day but my dog has figured out how to cover herself now. I lifted the "hood" up & she went in the figured out how to do it on her own. She was trying to go in while having a foot or something on the hood which makes it hard. Now she gets it & can easily go in & out. The cover hood pocket is quite deep. If she wanted she could be completely covered. No bed it chew proof but the zippers & seams are reinforced & somewhat hidden. I'd definitely this bed ! ... show more

This dog bed is very affordable for what you get. It's not "top" quality foam/fabric/arch and probably won't be super durable, but it's very cozy and the dog loves it. It also comes in a surprisingly small box. I bought this bed since my dog gets cold and he isn't good at getting under blankets by himself. The arch however is a little too flimsy and falls backwards such that I still need to help him in, but he seems to understand how to use this bed better than just the dog sleeping bag he has. A future improvement may be straps on the sides near the arch connection to hold it more forward (similar to the straps that prevent hinged lids from falling all the way back.) ... show more

This bed is made really well and so soft. This is the second one I order cuz my dogs outgrew the first one. The first one has held up amazingly over the years of washing, drying, and the roughing around from my dogs. They absolutely love crawling under the cover and cuddling in this comfy dog bed. Pieces of linen consistently come off of this ending up all over the house. Therefore I don’t think that it is great quality and I’m wondering if the lint is going to continue falling off until there’s nothing left. Otherwise the dogs like it but of course they don’t care about mess haha
