I unfortunately babied my dog as a 20 lb puppy, and she has grown into a 50lb dog that insists on sleeping on my bed under my blankets. as summer slowly approaches, I can no longer fathom having to deal with this big, fuzzy, warm personal heater at night. I impulsively (desperately) bought this, and then became skeptical based off of the reviews, and especially concerned it (35”) would be too small after reading plenty of mixed reviews. I’m glad to say that it is PERFECT for my fur baby (pit/lab/terrier). The bed came folded in half in a box and straightened out easily. I removed the plastic tub ‘cos it felt like it was holding the hood back, and my dog LOVES to go under and snuggle in it. My 4 month old puppy even has enough room to get in there and snuggle with her! Even better- IT COMES WITH MANUFACTURER WARRANTY! Is it legit? We will most likely find out lol

This is the 26 inch model and it is quite large for my 13 pound chihuahua-cross. She likes the somewhat firm cushion, and she hasn't destroyed the "sherpa" covering with her digging (but I do pull out any fluff that she does rake off). The top has no padding or bolster, but I roll a towel and put it inside across the back, but the top still does sag onto the dog. I wouldn't put this anywhere but on the floor, because a dog who digs or circles a lot could possibly tip the whole thing over because there is no bolster across the back. The bow support for the top front fits snuggly in its pockets and does allow for the front to pivot forward and backward about 6 inches. Overall we are pleased.

My dog loves this bed and finds it really cozy - but.. like many dogs, he's a scratcher and loves to dig into his beds and blankets when he lays down. This bed just WILL NOT hold up under these circumstances. I'm having to replace it after only a few months because it's completely torn and material from the blanket and foam from the inside are all over the place. Broken pieces of foam are not safe, in my opinion. Great bed if your dog doesn't exhibit this behavior, but if they do, I'd pass.

This arrived in a vacuum packed package and I had to put it together myself. It's just a piece of thick egg crate foam that you slip into the case like a pillow, then zip up. That was mildly difficult because it should fit tightly, but I found folding it in half, sticking it in there, then letting it unfold inside the case worked well. The foam itself seems of decent quality, kind of like memory foam, but it doesn't hold the shape of your hand or anything. Once you get the foam inside, getting the plastic tube thing that holds up the front inside the little pocket that holds it isn't too difficult. You do have to start at the correct end tho, so if one end doesn't seem to be working, try the other side. Once assembled it looks just like the picture. My dog was mostly thrilled and liked diving inside at first, but I think maybe it gave him a static shock because I noticed when I stuck my arm in there it did that to me, and he hasn't been inside it since I first put it together. He still enjoys sitting on top of it tho, even tho the one side sticks up and looks funny when he sits on it like that. Maybe if I wash it with a lot of Downy that will fix the problem.
