This is furniture I would expect to have found in my grandparents' house. Elegant design, nice solid hardwood , and very sturdy construction. Once you figure out that the A legs and B legs are arrayed diagonally with respect to each other, the construction is pretty easy - just leave things loose until all the braces are in place, and then tighten up the legs on a level, flat floor. Once you have the base stable and tight, put the brace screws in and an elephant could stand on this base! I'm taking 1 point away due to a minor design flaw. I'm not a big guy - 200 lbs - but the 6" caster plate supplied does not give enough clearance or support to keep the seat of the chair from rubbing on the base when swiveling, if you aren't perfectly balanced in the middle of the seat. I solved this problem tonight by swapping the supplied caster plate with a 10" caster plate (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CK66SX9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and now this chair swivels smoothly no matter what. For the perfect chair, the manufacturer should change their design to a 10" caster plate. Now that I've thrown a few more dollars into these chairs, I expect them to last a long time. ... show more

Not only do we love them, but our cats do as well, so we saved some money on cat beds buying these! HA. They are incredibly simple to put together and are very sturdy. We have had 300+lb people sit in these without even a creak. The only thing that was slightly frustrating was that they will ship out in different packages and arrive at different times. So only one of our packages arrived with two chairs prior to when we needed them. ... show more

I got the matching table. OMG. this company makes such beautiful high quality furniture. It won't last you until the end of time, but definitely for years. The cushions and chair are BEAUTIFUL. They are light but sturdy, I can not say enough good things about them. Just be sure when building to make sure you look at which legs are written as left and right so you don't get confused and frustrated. When I realized they were labelled the building process was done. Total build time would probably be 20 minutes even, just so easy and instructions are great. 100% would purchase again - amazing value for the price! I bought 4! ... show more

We bought 6 of these chairs to compliment our new dining table and we made the right decision for sure. These are very stylish and comfortable even sitting for long periods of times during game nights! They are easy to assemble and are very sturdy I am 6'4, 250 and there is no issue what so ever.

Make sure all the screws and accessories are there. Bought 2. First one was complete. Second one had to run to hardware store. Missing screw for one of the legs, as well as the counter sink thread was to deep for standard screw. Then discovered was missing wood screws in base of seat. It's fixed and usable now just a small inconvience for what I paid for it. Don't agree with the price increase if your quality control isn't there. ... show more

    • Decent construction but slightly stiff.
They weren't difficult to assemble though the cushion has no internal threads and instead are supplied with screws. This requires a little effort and some repeats tries to make sure they sit flat. Once assembled they are sturdy and look decent though the cushions are much stiffer than they appear.
